Betrothed To The Mafia Lord novel Chapter 117

Sofia’s POV

I took a step back and watched as both men carefully carried in all the stuff which we got from the mall yesterday, and as I watched them align the stuff beside one another, it was making me realize just how plentiful the stuff was. I chewed on my lips a little with my back resting against the wall as I watched silently and some minutes later, they started carrying in the big boards and drawing canvas and other bigger stuff.

I allowed my eyes to wander around the room, a motion which I had been repeating over and over again, each time both men exited the room to go carry some more stuff, leaving me alone in the room.

The room was large.

When I say it was large, I meant it was more spacious than I ever expected. Heck, I didn’t even expect Luca to agree to me painting in the first place, and after he did, I decided to try my luck further by requesting a room which I’d be using for my painting stuff, all to myself, and unexpectedly, he had agreed instantly. Of course, I hadn’t been expecting him to even give me a room this wide, even if he was going to be agreeing to give me a room all to myself.

But here we are right now. I am in so much luck, even I’ve got to admit that part to myself.

I turned around and walked a few steps sideways until I was standing before the window which was still wide open. With nothing in my way of the direct sunlight and the direct breeze hitting my face, like the thick glasses in front of all the windows I’ve ever come across.

I dragged in a deep breath and allowed my eyes to slide shut as the sunlight bathed my face thoroughly, the breeze from the outside was blowing around my face as well and I felt it start to move the wisps of hair lying around the sides of my face, around a little.

The sounds of footsteps approaching didn’t dawn on me until the sounds of stuff being dropped echoed in the room a little and I jolted a little as my eyes flew open. I refused to turn around because I could still remember the encounter I had with Ethan beside the window yesterday, and the memory was still fresh in my head ever so clearly.

“Ma’am?” I heard Ethan’s voice echo and I turned around a little until I was glancing at them while my body was still facing tne window. Both men were staring at me like I was doing something which I shouldn’t be doing and I corked my head to the side a little as I waited for him to state his reason for calling on my name.

“Er, I’m sorry to have interrupted you ma’am, but you shouldn’t be standing before the window that way.” Ethan said and I stated at him pointedly, because I could still remember him telling me about how it was literally like a free world for me and how I can stand before the window it I wanted to and how I shouldn’t be afraid because it was my house as well as Luca’s.., and now he was standing w few feet away from me, beside Ryan… telling me this?

It isn’t even adding up.

“What?” I echoed out, turning my whole body around until I was fully racing them and my hands were kufing off away from my sides and wrapping around my stomach because I was feeling confused really fast.

“I meant that, it’s really dangerous for you to stand before an open window the way you did some moments ago, and that mr ricci wouldn’t like it because it’s dangerous dey you.”
