Luca’s POV
We both stared at each other pointedly in the next second, and I knew exactly what it was that he was thinking about even before he could speak, making me lean forward against the table.
“I know exactly what you’re thinking about at this very moment.” I said to him quietly.
“Good, because it’s the logical thing to think of at the moment.” He said to me in response and I sighed deeply.
“Trust me, I’ve thought about it. I did think about it as soon as she told me about it.” I said to him in the next second, lifting my hand to tap absentmindedly on my phone on the top of my desk.
“So…” James started to speak and I shook my head immediately.
“They can’t do it.” I said to him almost immediately.
“They can’t? How sure are you?” He asked almost immediately and I rolled my eyes in the next second.
“It’s how they respect me so much, I don’t think they can ever do something like that to my wife, have they no fear left in them?” I said to him and watched as he nodded his head once before starting to speak.
“Well, I do know how your guards respect and are afraid of you, so I guess you’re right. I’m just scared for her because I wouldn’t want her to go through that kind of thing again.” James explained after a few moments and I nodded my head once, completely agreeing with him because I’ve thought of all those things as well.
A selfish part of me hated the fact that it sounded like James cared about my wife way more than he was supposed to, but I shoved that feeling down instantly, making way for more positive thoughts into my head. I sucked in a deep breath and pushed myself out of my feet.
I was going to visit the family of my wife, and the people behind that crazy act, are going to pay for three sins directly to me.
******
It was exactly four days after the night Sofia and I spent on the balcony, with her admitting Ynr cause of her nightmare to me. I made my way into my car and it started moving almost immediately. I just got back from a meeting which I attended on my own. We were way too booked and so, James and I had to share ourselves and attend different meeting, instead of attending a meeting together like we usually do.
I had thought deeply about a lot of thighs when I was back in the conference room of where I had attended a meeting. And I had started to think about my life and some of my habits which I was still yet to let go of.
James knew about the fact that I was still seeing a few women outside my marriage. And it was very understandable of me, because I had needs and wouldn’t just shy around, waiting for whenever my wife would get ready to have sex with me. It was also because I didn’t want to ever feel rushed with her each time, which was why I had always ensured to not go anything that might seem too fast with her.
I have sex with a few other women whom I had been seeing before I got married, and they all knew about the fact that I was married. At this very moment, I had decided to cut them all off and stop seeing anybody outside my marriage, it just seem so wrong to be doing that at this point, and I had a feeling it was going to break Sofia’s heart if she ever find out about the fact that I’ve always been getting laid outside our marriage.
