Sofia’s pov
For the first morning in three days, I woke up without feeling like I was going to burst into frustrated tears. I could still feel Luca’s firm arms around me as he held me against him. Even in his sleep, he was always holding onto me like he’d never let me go. I glanced up at his face and took in the stress lines that were now marking the top of his, it was very obvious that he was very much stressed and needed to get as much rest as possible, but I was sure he was going to be out of bed in an instant if I needed him.
Damn my stupid body for reacting to him the way I had did that day when I had thought he had been about to hit me. What had I even been thinking? I mean, it wasn’t like Luca had ever made me feel like he was ever got to ever lay a finger on me. The only time he has ever laid a finger on me was whenever he was spanking my ass, which also doesn’t frequently, unfortunately.
Well at least he had said we were going to talk about it some other time, I really hope we got to talk about it as soon as possible, I didn’t want anything to hang between us. I carefully rolled out of his grip and made sure he hadn’t stirred awake, before carefully padding towards the bathroom.
I didn’t take my bath, all I did was to wash my face and empty my bladder, and then I made my way downstairs. I knew he was going to be really hungry when he wake up, so attempting to make him breakfast doesn’t seem like a bad idea to me now.
To think I had thought I was going to be subjected to cooking against my will, like a dutiful wife was supposed to as soon as I had gotten married now sounded so absurd to me, because here I was, wanting to prepare something for my husband, on my own will, because I knew it was going to make him happy.
I didn’t know my way around the kitchen all that much, but from the time I’ve spent in here with Matilda, I knew it wouldn’t be hard to whip something up for him.
And that was where Matilda had met me when she arrived in the kitchen, and as expected, she didn’t fail to express just how shocked she was to see me cooking, but I only giggled at the scandalous expression on her face. It was as if she sensed the change in my mood in sn instant, because she was asking me if all was now alright, and so informed her that Armani had now been found.
Throughout the time Luca had left and hadn’t returned, I had spent most of the day with Sarah and Matilda, Sarah had been scared because she had missed him for years only to hear that he had been kidnapped a day after he had arrived here in Italy, and that had only made me feel really worse. That night, I hadn’t really gotten any sleep, instead, I had spent most of the night longing for Luca and crying and also praying nothing happens to Armani. I hadn’t eaten the next day exceit for a few things here and there which I had to force down my throat because I knew using drugs on an empty stomach was a definite no.
It was exactly why Matilda had noticed the change in my mood instantly, and after a few more moments, she assisted me and in no time, breakfast was come ready. Because I didn’t want Luca to come down yet, I wanted him to eat and return back to sleep, because I was sure he was going to still leave for work today, he barely gets any rest, which was saddening.
I carried the food upstairs and went three rounds to get everything upstairs, and surprisingly, Luca was still fast asleep. I expected him to have jolted a little because he wasn’t that much of a deep sleeper, but he didn’t, which was more proof that he really was tired.
I shook him a little and he was blinking beautiful eyes at me after fleeting second. I bit my bottom lip, feeling overwhelmed from how intense his gaze was.
“Sofia?” He asked, morning voice making my body tingle. I nodded at the side of the bed. “I made you breakfast.”
