Luca’s POV
After putting a call through to Jane’s and informing him of the blown up condo, I asked him to do some research, like I was also going to start doing here, and then it wasn’t long before I was ending the call.
I was worried, I couldn’t deny it.
Just imagining what would have happened to Sofia and I if we had gone back to the condo last night was leaving the cold feeling that had lingered as soon as I had read that text some time ago.
I rolled out of the bed and ruminated through the closet here, there was only a few items here, all our stuff back at that condo had been definitely ruined. My laptops and the documents I came all the way from Italy with, was burnt as well. It was a good thing that one copy of those documents I had with me was still available back in Italy, and the files on my laptops could easily be regained back.
What I was worried about now, was the person that was behind this.
I racked my brain but no one in particular was coming forth, and Witt a frustrated sigh, I made my way to the kitchen. That was where Sofia found me, while I was drinking one of the alcohol I had found here, some time ago.
“Did you sleep well, stunning?” I asked as I leaned down to brush a kiss against her jaw. She mewled and let out a small sigh as she snuggled into my side, and I welcomed the smell of strawberries that wafted into my nose almost immediately.
“I forgot where I was when I woke up, and I panicked.” She finally spoke and I chuckled a little as pulled her against me even more.
“Aw, I’m so sorry that happened, you probably expected to be back at the previous condo, right?”
She nodded her head and I noticed her regarding the alcohol bottle on the counter before me.
“Why did you we even come here? And when are we going back to the condo?” She asked after a moment.
“About that, bunny.” I paused until she was blinking up at me. “The condo which we didn’t return to last night, got blown up overnight.”
Her eyes widened comically and she clamped a hand over her mouth almost immediately.
“Are you serious?” She whispered and I gave a slight nod of my head.
“Did you know that was going to happen? Was that why you didn’t let us go back there last night?”
I shook my head as I took another swig of my alcohol. “No, bunny. I didn’t.”
