The anger I was currently feeling was one too thick that I had to force my throat in a swallow in order to push the lump out of my throat.
I glanced out the car’s window, watching as the world whirled past in fast seconds and then I sucked in a deep breath.
Why was I even angry?”
I asked myself on a small exhale, as I glanced down at my fingers laying on my thighs.
The conversation with Luca had started off very well. It had been going pretty fine, until he refused to tell me the reason for the start of everything.
He shouldn’t have said he wanted to talk about it, if he knew he wasn’t going to talk about it all the way.
And I knew I had a right to be angry in a situation like this, hence my anger.
I had even gone ahead to explain to him how it was only going to make me start to overthink if he wouldn’t tell me everything all the way, but he still hadn’t wanted to tell me.
Hence my anger.
I wasn’t even sure of what had actually overcame me when I had gone ahead to change out of my cozy clothes.
All I had known in that moment was that I wanted to leave his presence. I hadn’t wanted to be in the same presence as he was, and the only way I could really get that in that moment, was to go out of the house.
A part of me had thought he was going to stop me from leaving, but he surprisingly hadn’t done that.
I let out a slow exhale and leaned back into my seat, and then I pulled out my phone from my pause.
When I had existed the house, I had claimed that I was going to my best friend’s house, meanwhile I hadn’t even called her that I was coming over.
She was going to be happy to have me over if she was around, and I hoped she’d be around, as I dailed her number.
Her bubbly voice oozed into my ear as soon as she answered the call.
I went ahead to tell her that I was coming over and was already on the way, and as expected, she got extremely excited and urged me to get there as fast as possible. I couldn’t help but laugh a little as I ended the call with her. She has managed to lift my mood up a few notches.
I stopped at a mall because I wanted to get Kayla something. She had helped me so damn much, and gifting her something precious was a good start to showing my appreciation to her.
Ethan chose to watch the car, while Ryan accompanied me into the mall. I looked through the perfumes on the aisle, as my mind wandere. I think about what it is that he wasn’t telling me.
I racked my head, not coming up with a good enough reason after a little while.
I jolted a little when I felt a hand on my shoulder, but as soon as I glanced up, I instantly relaxed on seeing who it was.
I flashed him a small smile, and right there, I instantly remembered what it was that he had done for me yesterday.
He had expressed how proud he was of me, and had even given me a glass of his champagne. That had helped me a whole lot yesterday at the exhibition, more than I can even imagine.
“Thank you, for what you did yesterday.” I breathed out as I reached for another brand of perfume. I knew the exact scent Kayla liked, and the goal was to get something that smelled like that.
A confused look crossed Ryan’s face.
“I did something?” He asked and I rolled my eyes.
“Of course, you did. Remember how you said I looked stressed and not as happy as you expected me to look, you were absolutely right about that.” I explained and then I shrugged while throwing him a look. He was walking by my side, and there was a little gap between the both of us.
“Oh.” He paused as he reached for a perform bottle that I was eying, but was way too high for me to reach.
“Thank you.” I whispered as I accepted the bottle, biting on my bottom lip tentatively because our fingers mistakenly brushed against one another. A little silence stretched out between us as he returned the bottle back to it’s previous position, and then we began to move forward.
“Wanna talk about it? What was bothering you yesterday, that is.”
I chewed at the insides of my cheeks while slowly shaking my head.
“No, not really. I’d rather not think about it right now.”

Kayla was excited to see me. She enveloped me in her famous tight hugs, like we didn’t see each other last night as the nightclub.
She ushered me in and we settled comfortably in the sitting room. The house wasn’t as big as Luca’s, but it was still very big, and the decorations of the house were all so bright, the complete opposite of how Luca decorated his.
It’s obvious as day that Kayla had the day in the house decorations.
I’ve been here a few times, and one thing I loved about Kayla’s house was a pet puppy. It was the cutest thing ever.
As Kayla and I talked, I ended up briefing her about what’s currently going on between Luca and I.
Kayla suggested that I let it go since like he said, he’s sorry and wants us to be how we used to be before.
She also mused aloud that it could be that he did something with a woman and is feeling guilty.
I considered that for a few moments before pushing the thought out of my head. That wasn’t something Luca could do, I was sure of it.
“I don’t think Luca can do that. It’s definitely something else.” Had been my response.
Kayla and I had talked some more. We watched a Disney cartoon together, some wine, and she thanked me profusely over my gifts which I got from the mall, I also included a handwritten note which I had penned down at the mall.
Spending time in general with Kayla, had uplifted my mood so well.
