Within a secluded members–only club, a circle of elegantly attired socialites were engaged in light chatter and laughter.

Susannah stood among them, draped in a dark green gown that highlighted her elegant and regal air.

Holding a champagne flute, she sipped lightly, her polite smile masking a distracted mind.

“Have you caught the latest rumor? A new jewelry design studio is causing quite a stir. It’s led by a designer named Sadie Hudson. I’ve heard her pieces are truly remarkable!” a woman in a red gown whispered excitedly.

While Susannah had only been half–listening, the mention of the “Cardilla Pink Diamond” made her brows draw together in

She recalled that Alex had approached her requesting a necklace, claiming it was for a special friend.

She gently set her champagne glass down and quietly excused herself from the gathering, exiting the banquet hall.

“Mrs. Howe, our investigation confirms that Sadie Hudson was indeed involved in a design project for the Lawrence Group.
