Chapter 533 Vivi’s Lies
The corners of Vivi’s eyes reddened, making her look rightly aggrieved as she said, “I just couldn’t let this go, so I thought
of avenging Kyla. That’s why I planned that car accident. All I wanted was to get rid of that wretched woman, Sadie! I never expected you to risk your own life to save her, Mr. Wall.”
She choked on a sob, and for a moment it seemed like she was unable to continue.
“That’s roughly what happened.” Vivi lifted her head then, her expression pitiful. “Of course, only Kyla knows all the
details. If you want to know more, you should consider bringing Kyla back from that place.”
She spoke with such conviction, any ordinary person would believe her words were true.
Noah, however, frowned deeper.
Vivi’s story was plausible enough, but he couldn’t shake the nagging feeling that something was off about it all.
His immediate and inexplicable aversion to this Kyla was clear. Needless to say, it wasn’t the sort of emotion one should
harbor toward their beloved.
Noah stood up and glanced down at Vivi.
“I’ll have someone look into the things you told me.” His cold voice carried an unmistakable warning. “If I find out there’s even a hint of falsehood in your story, I promise that you will find yourself in a situation a hundred times worse than this.”
With that, he turned and left the room.
As soon as the door clicked shut, Vivi dropped her pitiful act.
Three years ago, just before she was arrested, she had received an encrypted message from abroad.
It was from Kyla.
The message was very short. “I am not dead. He sent me to Wheosia. I’ll be back soon.”
At the time, Vivi thought that Kyla was really dead, and that someone was merely playing a prank.
Now that she had some time to think about it, however, she was starting to think that message must be genuine.
The corners of Vivi’s lips curled into a devious smile.
She couldn’t rely on Noah to get out of this hellhole. But it was all right, as long as Noah somehow brought Kyla back.
Kyla would never stand by and watch her suffer in such a horrid place.
Vivi leaned back in her chair and felt the chill of the metal seep into her skin. Her hands slowly balled into fists.
Sadie and Noah would pay for everything they had done!
Meanwhile, Noah walked out of the prison gates and got into the black sedan parked at the entrance.
Jack was waiting in the driver’s seat. He glanced at the rearview mirror and gauged Noah’s mood.

The man’s expression was even more grim and severe than it had been before he walked inside.
Jack swallowed the words that were on the tip of his tongue.
Leaning back in his seat, Noah closed his eyes and kneaded his temples to ease some of the tension building up inside him.
Vivi’s words were like a mess of thorns that had wrapped itself around his heart.
After a long silence, he finally opened his eyes, his gaze deep and unreadable.
“Jack. Send someone to Wheosia to investigate a place called Boxing Street. Check if a woman named Kyla Wade was sent there three years ago. I also need you to dig up everything about her background. The more detailed, the better.”
He needed to verify everything Vivi had said.
He needed to know how much he could trust her.
“Understood, Mr. Noel,” Jack said without asking any questions.
He started the car and drove away from the prison. “Where to next, Mr. Noel?”
Noah’s gaze drifted to the scenery flashing outside the window.
