When she called him just about an hour before, he said that he would be home soon, but now she just couldn’t reach him. Ophelia started getting worried.

Ophelia called a few more, but still, no one answered the call.

When it was half past seven, the phone finally got through and a woman picked up.

“Who are you?” Ophelia frowned.

“Hello? Who are you to this phone’s owner? He just got a little car accident and was still having bandages in the operation room. His phone dead before and asked me to find a place and charge for him, so I would answer this call.” The woman explained.

Ophelia was completely thunderstruck when she heard that Zachariah was in a car accident and immediately asked, “Is he okay? Which hospital are you at? I’ll head there now.”

After the woman told Ophelia the address, she hurriedly grabbed her purse and went out.

While she was driving, her hands were freezing cold.

Ophelia’s shivered, “Zachariah, don’t you have anything wrong. I will listen to you about anything as long as you are fine.”

Though it had passed the rush hour, there were still a lot of traffic on the road. Ophelia met several red lights on the way to the hospital and was getting increasingly anxious.

It took Ophelia an hour to get to the hospital. She then immediately called the woman who was carrying Zachariah’s phone and found that she was actually the head nurse in the hospital.

“Are you Mrs. Chambers?” The nurse asked.

Ophelia nodded.

“Mr. Chambers isn’t seriously injured, so don’t be too worry about him.” The nurse soothed.

“Where is he now?”

“He is still getting bandages. He will be out in a minute.”

Ophelia then was able to took a sigh of relief.

“You don’t look too good. Why don’t you sit on the chair and take some breaths?”

Ophelia nodded.

“Thank you, I will be fine here. You must be busy.” Ophelia took Zachariah’s phone and said.

“Okay then, I’m gonna go. Mr. Chambers will be out when he is done.”

After the nurse left, Ophelia leaned against the wall like a deflated balloon. Since she was not as intense as before, she sensed pain in her belly.
