Chapter 121 

It was the afternoon break. Gillian’s temples throbbed with pain. She wanted to go back to the office to rest. Just as she reached the door, Tracy called again. 

At the sight of the familiar phone number, impatience flashed across Gillian’s eyes. Her gaze was frighteningly cold. 

However, when she grabbed her phone and pressed the answer button, she suddenly became gentle and refined. 

“Mrs. Smith?” She asked gently, “Is there anything else?” 

Tracy said over the phone, “I almost forgot. Olivia has revealed the secret recipe of seared salmon with herbed couscous. The Smith Cuisine Hall needs a new recipe.” 

Upon hearing this, a slight frown appeared on Gillian’s face. However, her tone was still as gentle as before. “Mrs. Smith, wait a few days. I’ll find another one.” 

After getting an answer, Tracy heaved a sigh of relief and said in a much warmer tone, “Sorry to trouble you, Gillian. The dividends for this month will be affected by the disclosure of seared salmon with herbed couscous. You might not get what you expected. I’ll transfer it to you in a few days.” Gillian said, shaking her head, “How can I still have the cheek to ask for this month’s dividends? It’s all my negligence that made you and Cynthia suffer. Forget about it.” 

“How is this your fault?” Tracy frowned. “It’s all Olivia’s fault. It’s the Smith family’s recipe. It’s one thing that she shamelessly took it for herself, but she actually publicly announced it on Twitter, showing no consideration for the Smith family.” 

At this point, Tracy’s tone was filled with anger. She snorted coldly and said, “I’ll have to talk to Mr. Smith. It doesn’t matter if he dotes on his granddaughter, but he can’t affect the Smith family’s foundation. Although he’s the head of the Smith family, the Smith family doesn’t belong to him alone.” 

Finally, there was something that pleased Gillian. She narrowed her eyes, and with amusement gleamed in her eyes, she said in a gentle and

Gillian smiled faintly and said in a helpless tone, “Well, I’m an elder sister, after all.” 

After hanging up the phone, Gillian originally wanted to go back and rest, but since she had promised Tracy, she decided to find another medicinal cuisine for her. 

The recipes were all with her grandfather. She didn’t have them with her, so she had to find Isaac. 

Isaac had a special resting room and was having lunch. Seeing Gillian coming over, he quickly waved and said happily, “Come quickly and eat with me.” 

Ever since Olivia agreed to take over the Smith family, Isaac’s mood had been lifted. Moreover, he had gotten over with the thing that he did not send Olivia back to the Taylor family when she was young. Without the guilt purged from his mind, his body was much stronger than before. Gillian sat opposite Isaac and subconsciously scooped food and soup for Isaac. She picked up some food for him and only picked up her bowl when he was almost done eating. 

She picked up a mouthful of food and put it into her mouth. It was filled with bitterness. 

Gillian thought back to the past. She was the most meticulous and considerate one. She took great care of her grandfather. She was always there for him when eating and would always fill his bowl with food. 

On the other hand, Olivia had never done all of this before. When she ate, she would only focus on herself and enjoy all the delicious dishes without leaving anything for Isaac. She always asked Ms. Blake to make her favorite dishes and did not care about others. 

However, Olivia believed that Isaac only praised Olivia for being a filial girl and turned a blind eye to her own efforts. 

Thinking of this, Gillian could not help but sneer in her heart. How was Olivia filial? What did she do?

Isaac nodded. “Go ahead.” 

Gillian glanced at Isaac and hesitated for a moment before saying, “Grandpa, you promise me you won’t be angry if I tell you. You can’t be angry.” 

Did something happen? 

With a nervous expression, Isaac stared at Gillian and nodded. “Don’t worry, I won’t be angry.” 

Gillian frowned and looked worried. “It’s about Olivia. She made the Smith family’s recipe public.” 

Isaac was stunned for a moment before he immediately refuted in a firm tone, “Impossible, absolutely impossible!” 

Gillian was taken aback. She did not expect her grandfather to trust Olivia so much. He was still protecting her at this time! 

That was the Smith family’s secret recipe. It didn’t matter if the Smith family used it themselves, but Olivia made it public regardless of everything. Did she think that she owned the Smith family?
