“Perhaps it’s a good idea to look into a few more options and get the results, and then I can have a look.” 

Olivia was pondering her next steps in treatment. Lindy came over to ask, and she replied absentmindedly. 

Seeing that Olivia’s expression didn’t change and didn’t look angry, Lindy secretly heaved a sigh of relief. 

However, she was still a little worried. 

She observed Olivia’s expression and explained carefully, “Ms. Olivia, it’s not that I doubt your medical skills. I need to go to the hospital for a checkup, and I thought I might as well have Anthony checked.” 

Olivia held a pen in her hand, and at Lindy’s words, she raised her gaze. The pen twirled between her fingers, and she smiled slightly. “Are you afraid I’ll get angry?” she asked. 

Lindy squeezed her fingers and smiled awkwardly. “No.” 

Her answer was not what she thought. 

Olivia tilted her head and curved her beautiful eyes. She suddenly chuckled as if she found it hilarious, and her shoulders trembled slightly. 

“I’m not a monster, so don’t be afraid of me. Besides, a medical equipment check is always more precise. I’m not that petty.” 

In the past few days, Olivia had not left the house much. 

It wasn’t that they were cold or busy but that the Patterson family’s attitude was becoming more and more strange. They looked cautious and serious, not like they were facing a doctor at all, but like they were serving a member of the royal family. 

They treated her carefully. 

Everyone was afraid of showing even the slightest neglect. 

At the same time, Gillian sat in the back row of a Rolls–Royce with a black pill in her hand. 

She lowered her head and sniffed it.

Lindsay, who was in the front passenger seat, felt bored. She turned around, leaned against the back seat, and asked, “Grandpa, are we going to the Patterson family just like this? Maybe we should let them know that we are coming?” 

Healix did not reply. He only looked up at her, then closed his eyes and leaned against the back seat to rest. 

Lindsay pouted. She felt that her grandfather was so annoying and made her look like a fool. 

She turned to Gillian and asked, “Gillian, what do you think?” 

Gillian’s lips curled into a faint smile, but she did not answer. Instead, she just stared at the black pill. 

“Be quiet,” Healix opened his eyes and reprimanded Lindsay sternly. Lindsay’s face turned pale. She was a little embarrassed and snorted. “Am I wrong? How can you go to someone else’s house without telling me in advance?” 

Looking at his granddaughter’s confused expression, Healix sighed and said, “It’s not that I don’t want to tell them, but Gabriel is no longer answering my call.” 

Lindsay’s eyes widened and asked, “Why?” 

Gillian also looked at Healix. However, unlike Lindsay, she understood what Healix meant. 

Gabriel was unwilling to help them! 

If they wanted to get the medicine test report and clinical trial approval number, they would have to rely on the Patterson family’s help. 

However, the Patterson family did not intend to give them a hand. 

He even deliberately avoided answering Healix’s phone calls. If it weren’t for the unexpected visit, they wouldn’t have seen him at all. 

Gillian knew that Healix’s words were meant for her, to show his 

dedication. 

However, Gillian did not take his words seriously.

He regretted working with Gillian, for he found her arrogant. “What did she think the Smith family was? The royal family? 

“Had she just said that the Smith family would never treat him unfairly? “How dare she say it out loud!” thought he. 

Unfortunately, it was too late. He was already on board, and there was no way to back out. He could only grit his teeth and move forward. 

Healix closed his eyes and placed his hopes on Jarron, hoping that he had a brain. 

Otherwise, Healix Pharmaceuticals would be ruined! 

As soon as Gillian arrived at the Patterson family, Gabriel went to his room and instructed Lindy, “Tell them that I’m not at home.” 

Lindy was worried. “I heard that Isaac’s eldest granddaughter, Gillian, is also here. If we do this, will Ms. Olivia be upset?” 

Gabriel shook his head. “Don’t worry about it. Just pretend you don’t know the relationship between Gillian and Ms. Olivia.”

Medication was not a trifling matter. If someone died from it, who was

Although Lindy didn’t handle these matters directly, she had heard Gabriel talk about them. She knew how things worked.

As she spoke, she pushed him to his room. “Go to your room right now. I’ll take care of things here.” 

Due to Olivia’s influence, Lindy, while not particularly fond of Gillian and her group, also dared not show any neglect. 

They could pretend not to know about Olivia and Gillian’s relationship, but they couldn’t truly remain ignorant, especially if they treated Gillian harshly.
