Before she could leave, Samuel came in. 

Maddie stood still and looked at Samuel before looking at Amelia with a gloomy expression. 

“You heard everything!” Her tone was firm. 

Samuel closed the door and pulled a chair to sit down. He looked up at Maddie. “Olivia is also my daughter. I don’t want this to happen.” 

Speaking of his daughter, Maddie didn’t understand. 

“Olivia is your biological daughter while Emma is just your adopted child. Why are you so indifferent to Olivia and dote on Emma instead?” 

This didn’t make sense. 

Under normal circumstances, the relationship between father and daughter would not be too close because a distinction should be made between males and females. 

Especially since Emma was even an adopted daughter, it made Maddie even more difficult to understand their relationship. 

Samuel’s back stiffened. He glanced at Amelia and pretended to be calm. “Back then, Amelia’s mental state was not good and she lost her mind. If it weren’t for Emma, Amelia wouldn’t be where she is today.

Maddie looked at Amelia and tried her best to suppress her anger. 

She took two deep breaths before calming down. 

She rubbed her temples with a headache. She really didn’t want to care about the Taylor family. 

Even if Amelia was her biological sister, this kept happening, and she had run out of patience. 

Maddie took out her phone with a solemn expression. “I’ll tell Olivia everything.” 

Samuel waved his hand. “Tell her, lest her think that I’m cruel and heartless as a father. I don’t want to make things so tense, but what can I do? Can I just watch Emma suffer?

Her phone rang. She picked it up and put it to her ear. “What’s up, Aunt Maddie?” 

Her voice was slightly indifferent and a little lazy. 

Maddie’s phone was on speaker, so Samuel and Amelia also heard Olivia’s voice. 

She sounded calm and relaxed which they had never heard before. She even sounded a bit willful like a spoiled little girl. 

Maddie smiled. Her expression relaxed and her voice became gentle. “Olivia, what time is it in Launa? Are you resting?” 

“It’s 10:23 p.m. I was just about to rest.” Olivia subconsciously acted like a spoiled child. There was a hint of a smile in her sweet voice. “Why are you calling. Aunt Maddie? Did you miss me?” 

Amelia had been listening attentively to Maddie’s call, but when she heard Olivia’s words, her expression suddenly froze and she was in a daze. 

Was Olivia acting cute with Maddie? 

Amelia’s fingertips suddenly gathered together, and her wrist trembled slightly. 

In a daze, she seemed to see a little girl wearing a warm white gown playing the violin seriously in the piano room.

“I see,” she replied. “What are Samuel and Amelia up to now?” 

The question was asked in a confident tone.
