Chapter 496

Daniel was no longer downstairs when Olivia went down to return the phone.

“Where’s Daniel?” asked Olivia, who looked around but did not see Daniel.

When Ellis saw Olivia coming down, he quickly stood up and said respectfully, “Daniel is not feeling well. He went back to his room to rest. Miss Saintess, do you have anything to do with Daniel?”

“Oh.” Olivia nodded. Then, she held the phone and hesitated. She wanted to return the phone to Ellis, but she was afraid Ellis might misunderstand her by passing the message between Daniel and her. What if Daniel got. the wrong idea and thought she purposely took his phone?

Olivia decided to return it to Daniel personally after a moment’s contemplation. If there was anything she wanted to say, she had better say it in person.

Thinking of it, she turned around, walked upstairs, and knocked on Daniel’s door.

Daniel was resting on the sofa. He was a little surprised to see Olivia. “Saintess, why are you here? Are you looking for me for something?” Olivia took out Daniel’s phone in embarrassment. “I’m sorry, Daniel. Your phone fell on me when I fell just now.”

“Some unspoken secrets?” Daniel rubbed his forehead tiredly. His eyes. were filled with sorrow. “Is the person tired of me?”

“No, no.” Olivia was anxious and denied it quickly.

“Then, what’s the reason?” Daniel’s gaze shot over like a sharp sword. Olivia choked. After a long while, she said softly, “Maybe something happened to her. She has low self–esteem and is afraid to face you?.”

Low self–esteem?

Daniel frowned and looked at Olivia inquisitively.

Olivia was afraid that he would notice something amiss, so she casually said, “No matter what the reason is, just wait a little longer. She will come back and look for you soon.”

Then Olivia fled.

Daniel was left alone. He sat on the sofa and stared at Olivia’s flustered. back for a long time.
