Olivia found that the Taylor family’s reasoning was rather illogical. She did not want to argue with them about things that did not matter. Whether or not Amelia and Samuel were biased towards her was no longer her concern. 

Her purpose in coming this time was just to clear her name. 

Without emotional manipulation, no one could harm her. 

Seeing that Samuel was getting more and more outrageous, Liam cleared his throat and said, “Enough, what’s the point of dwelling on matters between a father and daughter?” 

As he spoke, he patted the seat next to him, beckoning Olivia. “Come and sit next to me.”

“Does she understand the etiquette of a wealthy family, how to interact with others? Does she understand the intricacies of various prominent families? Does she possess any notable talents? Let’s talk about the violin, has she even touched one before?” 

At this point, the contempt in Samuel’s eyes was undisguised. “For someone who can’t even measure up to societal standards, how could the Turner family possibly accept her?” 

“Alright, that’s enough. Stop talking,” Liam furrowed his brows. “Have you ever heard of someone speaking ill of their own daughter like this?” 

Speaking of his daughter, Samuel calmed down a little.

He turned to Olivia, speaking with a tone of benevolence. “You’re not young anymore. Get married and have children sooner rather than later. Stop daydreaming about the Turner family. That’s not something you can aspire to. I have a few good choices for you. They’re all graduates of prestigious universities, ambitious young men. Although their family backgrounds might be less privileged, they’re a better match for you.” 

“Both of you were raised in ordinary families. In the future, you’ll have more common ground to share, and the company will train him and promote him to become a department manager. As long as the Taylor family exists, you two will always have food on the table.”
