Billionaire's Pregnant Ex-wife novel Chapter 80

Despite the jealousy boiling inside him, all he could do was watch the man kiss Lily before he pulled away from her so others could take their turn dancing with her.

He was still seething with unrestrained fury when another man emerged from the crowd and made his way to her. Claiming her dainty hands, the second man placed them around his neck, and his hands slid onto Lily’s narrow hips. They danced together as a soft, relaxing song played from the orchestra.

They looked so happy together that a deep frown carved its way onto his forehead. He’d never seen her so happy as she looked now. The bright smile on her lips surpassed the glowing chandeliers adorning the ceiling.

After the song ended, the man leaned closer, kissed her on the cheek, and then moved aside to join the watching audience. As if on cue, another welldressed man wearing an

expensive tuxedo came to dance with her.

Grey counted how many men Lily danced with afterward. There were seven in total. But until now, he still wasn’t sure who among them was her real lover because he noticed each man lay a kiss on her cheek after each song ended. Each of them looked fond of her. The men shared a mutual bond with her that surpassed the boundary of friendship. He was

damn sure they weren’t just Lily’s friends.

Could it be that the first man who kissed her on the edge of her lips was her boyfriend? Grey asked himself in puzzlement. Yet he still wasn’t sure what to answer because the second man she danced with was quite close to herso damn close, in fact, that he couldn’t help but feel a little jealous. And then there was still the third manthe youngestlooking- whom Lily had her last dance with. She gazed at him as though her heart were on her

sleeve. No woman would look that way at a man if there wasn’t something going on

between them.

Damn.

He couldn’t guess who among them was her lover.

A sigh escaped his lips as he finally tore his gaze away from the dance floor. After drinking the remaining vodka in his glass, he returned it to the bar counter and left the room.

He went to the balcony for a breath of fresh air.

Now that his shock and disbelief had subsided, a hundred questions raced through his

thoughts.

With his hands gripping the railings, he looked up at the magnificent sky, scattered with millions of stars glittering like precious rubies, sapphires, and diamonds. He asked himself

how Lily had survived the fire that had claimed her life.

He knew she had perished in a fire. He mourned her death and watched as her coffin was lowered into the ground, and yet here she was, standing inside the room, laughing and having fun without knowing what he had gone through after her death.

He had endured unimaginable hell after he thought she had died.

A sudden fury bubbled inside him as he recalled how she filed for divorce while he was away

in another country on a damn important business trip.

Elizabeth, his stepmother, was the one to inform him that Lily had resigned from her job

and then dropped the bombshell that she wanted out of their marriage.

Before leaving the country, he had told his exwife to wait for him. So when he returned

from that damned business trip, they could talk about important matters. He wasn’t about

to pursue the divorce; instead, he wanted to save their marriage. That was what he had

planned to tell her. But then, before he could return, Lily had sent him the divorce papers.

The papers were already signed.

All hope he had of rebuilding their marriage shattered upon seeing her signature. She never loved him. The divorce papers proved that.

He remembered drinking himself into a stupor the night he signed the divorce papers and sent them back to the country.

He was angrymad at himself for loving someone who didn’t love him. Yet he still didn’t stop hoping he could talk her out of the divorce.

He didn’t finish the week and immediately returned to the country a few days later. That was when he found out she had died in a fireor so he thought.

Grey clenched his fists into tight balls. Lily must have faked her own death to get him out of

her life.

He wanted to applaud her, give her an Oscar for being so successful in fooling everyone into thinking she was dead..

Whatever emotions he felt toward her were overpowered by rage.

If she wanted him out of her life, then he would show her that he didn’t want her either.

The soft footsteps behind him jolted him back to reality. He listened as the sound of heels

came closer.

Tearing his gaze from the magnificent sky, he turned to where he heard the footsteps stop and found himself staring straight at his exwife.

Her mouth was slightly parted in panic, and shock shone in her eyes as she looked back at him. It seemed she hadn’t expected to find him there on the balcony.

For a moment that seemed to last an eternity, they locked gazes. Neither of them wanted to give in to the other.

Tenderness swelled inside him, but that emotion was quickly burned to ashes by the

flaming hate inside. It turned him into a monster.

He looked at her with savage fury in his eyes. All he could think of as he looked at her were the lies and betrayal and how he had suffered because of it.

He had been carrying the guilt all this time, and yet while he had been suffering because of her death, she was having fun with her new life.

Where the hell have you been, Grey? The first thing greeting him when he arrived at the Bradford Mansion was the sight of Natalia’s furious face. She was having one of her

screaming episodes again.

Ignoring her, he made a beeline straight to his room.

He was not in the mood to argue with her. She was heavily pregnant, and he didn’t want to be the cause of her miscarriage, even though he knew he wasn’t the father of her child.

He had never touched her. Never. Even after they were married, he didn’t lay a hand on her,

no matter how hard she tried to seduce him.

Natalia insisted he was the father. But he knew better.

How could he father her child if they never had intercourse? Not even once.

Also, he knew whose bed she was warming every nighthis stepbrother’s.

Where the hell have you been!?Natalia followed him into his room, her sharp voice thundering inside his private space.

Do I have to tell you everything I do? You’re not my mother,Grey snapped. He finally turned to her. His eyes burned with rage when he met hers. Stop nagging me. I’m not a dog who will follow everything you say. I’m tired of this.

Did you have a rendezvous with Catrina Blackwell again?Natalia screamed, her face
