"I heard that the bride lives a hard life. Her parents passed away very early, so she has always been alone. She is very independent and powerful. It is said that it took our groom one year to win her heart." The host teased.
Collin tilted his head.
The host handed the microphone to him. "Our groom seems to have something to say, right?"
Collin chuckled and said, "To correct your statement: it is not a year."
The host asked him with a smile, "How long is that? It seems that the groom cares a lot about the time he has spent on the girl."
"Nine years," Collin said. There was an uproar below the stage.
Roxanne only smiled lightly.
She had an aloof and refined temperament. The guests did not feel it at first. When they saw her and Collin standing together, they realized that the bride had an indescribable beauty.
This beauty had nothing to do with appearance. Just by standing there, others would feel her beauty.
Emily and Kaden arrived late. They didn't join Janessa and other partners until the wedding ceremony between Roxanne and Collin ended.
Kaden immediately ran away on hearing that Emily would join Janessa soon.
Therefore, Emily went to Janessa and the others alone.
"Doctor Mueller's daughter is very good-looking. Did you see her?" Janessa asked Emily.
Emily took out a red packet and a gift. "Not yet. I haven't had the time to see her yet. Which one is?"
"That one, the one in the black dress," Janessa said, pointing at Livia.
Emily nodded. "She is indeed beautiful."
"What's inside the small gift box? It can't be a ring, right? Are you looking for a wife for your son?" Janessa raised her brow.
Emily refused to tell her frankly. "It's just a small gift."
Emily first went to Collin and greeted Roxanne. After sending out the red packet, Emily walked to Livia and handed the gift to Livia.
"What's inside the box? She is so mysterious." Since Livia didn't show the gift to Janessa, Janessa grew very curious. Emily refused to tell her either, so Janessa wanted to ask Livia.
"Just a piece of jade." Emily said, "Doctor Mueller sent it to me and asked me to paint on it. In the end, he asked a craftsman to carve it before sending it to me."
"Ah? Why?" Janessa asked, "Aren't those which have already been curved in grocery stores better?"
Emily explained, "Doctor Mueller said that his daughter only likes presents that are carefully selected. She doesn't like presents from common stores."
"No wonder she liked the gift I gave her." Christy agreed.
"Then I screwed it. She probably doesn't like me the most." Janessa shrugged. "Well, when I first saw her, I was thinking of establishing a marriage tie with Doctor Mueller."
"In-laws?" Christy chuckled. "Your son is still young. Why are you in a hurry to find a wife for him?"
Kaden dragged Emily away.
