Mo Xung was silent for a while before he stretched his hands before commenting “Isn’t the night beautiful? The sky is so clear. The moon and stars looks so pretty. The cold breeze-“
Xi Mei whose words were ignored stopped pushing the wheelchair which made Mo Xung to stop blabbering. He turned his head to see Xi Mei staring back at him earnestly.
“Fine, if you want direct answers to your question then...Yeah I am more than curious to know the reason. I feel like I would punch anyone who made you cry. But if you don’t want to share about it, No one will ever force you to do so.…” Mo Xung paused before continuing.
“Though it’s sad, I wouldn’t even know who or what made my childhood friend to cry like this. If you don’t want to talk about it to anyone, you can call Nanny Sui. But don’t cry like this. I feel helpless and useless; I don’t even know how to comfort people.”
Xi Mei was stunned by his words. A dejected smile surfaced on her face. ‘I want to tell him that how much it pained me to see someone close to me suffering in front me. How much scared I was. How much I keep thinking that if Alice hadn’t arrived there, then how worse the situation could be. Yet I can’t say anything for everyone’s sake. I am sorry, Xiao Xung.’ She thought.
“Meimei?” Mo Xung called her out seeing that she went silent all of a sudden.
Returning back to reality, Xi Mei stared up at the sky to hold back her tears “Isn’t the night beautiful? The sky is so clear. The moon and stars looks so pretty.”
Mo Xung knew Xi Mei had no intention of sharing anything with him yet. So he faked a chuckle as he said “Yup, The night is too beautiful. Should I just sleep here while stargazing?”
“Sure, if you love cricket singing, donating your blood to mosquitoes, Hugging bugs, Then, You can.” Xi Mei spoke with a smirk.
Mo Xung shot her a weird gaze, making Xi Mei burst into laughter. Watching her laughing made Mo Xung to smile. ‘I really wish that One day, you could share whatever bothers you, with me. I want you to lean on me. I want to see you happy.’
Wiping off her tears from laughing so much, Xi Mei remarked with her signature smile “Thank you, Xiao Xung for everything.”
