“Miss Garcia, I am not joking. It is your only chance.”
It became quiet instantly, creating a tense atmosphere.
Charlotte began to breath fast and hard.
A strange man showed up suddenly and offered her the chance of a lifetime.
She stared at the man for a while and uttered a world slowly.
“Yes.”
She wanted to get out of here.
She desired to be alive.
She craved for freedom.
She had been faced with life and death so many times and left the past in the past. Now she only wanted to stay alive for the sake of her father, younger brother and the Garcia family as well as revenge on those who hurt them.
But …
As she finished, Charlotte leaned forward urgently, looking at the man, and rushed to continue.
“But under one condition.”
“I know I have already owed a great deal to you for getting me out of here. But could you please do me one more favor by keeping it a secret? I don’t want to be discovered by anyone.”
Especially Lawrence.
Raymond Porter raised his eyebrows slightly but showed little surprise.
“Miss Garcia, I can help you get rid of here, but I can’t decide whom would you meet or what kind of life would you have after that.”
“I’ll pick you up at eight tomorrow night.”
When he finished, he looked up and nodded at the man outside. The man immediately came to Charlotte.
“Time’s up. You should get back.”
