Gwen thought for a while and smiled. “No way. Look, you said it yourself. He’s blameless in all of 

this. Why shouldn’t you forgive him if he’s innocent? 

Caroline stared at Gwen silently. 

Gwen asked, “What’s wrong? Did I say something wrong again?” 

“No. You made an excellent point. Since he’s innocent, there’s no reason for me not to forgive him. Sean is also innocent, so why do you-” 

“Come on, Carol! Whose side are you on? Why do you seize every opportunity to speak up for Sean? “Gwen smiled as she spoke.
