Unexpectedly, Kirk pushed Caroline’s hands away. 

He was so strong that she had no power to resist, and in the end, she could only protest with a

Caroline doubted her words, but she said nothing more and continued ordering the food. 

After ordering their food, Sean, who had arrived late, opened the door to the private room. Seeing 

everyone, he immediately explained, “Sorry, I got caught up in something before I left.” 

Everyone said that it was okay with a smile. 

Sean’s gaze trailed over everyone, finally landing on Kirk. Jack was sitting beside him. He patted 

Jack’s shoulder. “Jack, can you-” 

Jack was a dense person. He looked at Sean in confusion. “Dr. Yates, there’s a spot beside Ms. Gwen 

” 

Sean still had a gentle smile on his face. He said, “I want to sit next to Kirk.”

Kirk took the tablet from her, held her hand, and said calmly, “I don’t know.” 

Caroline remained silent at his words. 

Then, she looked over at Sean. He seemed normal as usual and didn’t look like he had a problem with this. Was she being paranoid?
