Kirk continued, “Carrie, you’re the kindest person in the world. All you want is a home of your 

own, but God has put up so many barriers between you and that tiny wish. Do you think you’re the one being selfish, or is it God who’s being cruel?” 

Caroline’s tears kept falling out of her control. 

“Kirk, stop talking…” If he kept going, Caroline would feel she didn’t deserve him even more, someone who understood her so well.

through the treatment. As long as I don’t have to leave you, I can handle whatever painful
