Ronald and Mason were too young to see past the surface.

Brendan gave Ronald and Mason a strange smile. “So, will you introduce Naomi to someone better after

that?”

Mason was stunned. How had Brendan found out about the conversation between him and Naomi?

Mason stared at Brendan in surprise before he quickly shook his head.

“How could that be? Why would we introduce anyone to Naom!? Even if she does divorce you, we

wouldn’t do such a thing.”

Ronald added, “Exactly! Besides, Naomi is outstanding and beautiful. She doesn’t need us to set her up. Men are lining up to have her-*

Before Ronald could finish his sentence, Mason paled. He immediately kicked Ronald in the leg.

“Ronald, it’s fine if you have a death wish. But don’t drag me down with you.”

“I’m just stating the facts, like Naomi-” Ronald argued.

Mason intérrupted him again.“You can’t say it out loud even if it’s a fact. Or are you saying Brendan is an idiot for giving her up?”

After Mason finished speaking, Brendan’s gaze fell on Ronald, and he said emotionlessly, “Ronald, let’s start with you. Tell me how you’d like to die.”

“Brendan!” Ronald protested, saying, “I’m your brother! I’ve agreed to help you out, so why won’t you let me off? If not for me, let me off for the sake of our parents!”

“What’s going on? It’s so lively here.” Just as Ronald finished wailing, Naomi arrived.

The next moment, her gaze landed on Brendan. Upon seeing the dark look on his face, she immediately caught on that he was lecturing Ronald and Mason.

When Ronald and Mason saw Naomi there, they looked at her as if she were their savior.

Seeing this, Reuben calmly reminded her, saying, “Naomi, Ronald and Mason seem to have misunderstood Brendan.” 

Reuben was several years older than Ronald and the others, so he was wiser and calmer.

Seeing Brendan roll his eyes at her, she asked, “Are you in a bad mood, Mr. Ludwig?”
