Brendan’s lips felt soft against Naomi’s. And the latter didn’t know how to react.

She was merely bored and decided to wash Brendan’s clothes. Yet he was deeply touched by this.

After the passionate kiss, Brendan rested his chin on her shoulder as he held her. Naomi glanced at him. Brendan, you’re too easy to please! You’re touched just because I washed your clothes.” 

Knowing that Brendan wasn’t used to wearing the same clothes for two days straight, she helped him out since he had come all the way to see her.

Regardless of his motives, it was the thought that counted.

Naomi’s sarcasm earned a cold snort from Brendan. “Naomi, do you think I came all the way here just to have you wash a couple of pieces of clothing for me?”

Naomi chuckled. “Did you miss me or something?”

Naomi understood Brendan’s intentions better than anyone else. He must have heard some rumors and come to confront her, only to find nothing. She just couldn’t be bothered to expose him.

Brendan didn’t respond to Naomi’s teasing. Instead, he leaned closer to her and asked, “So, if I didn’t come looking for you, you wouldn’t look for me?”

Naomi didn’t appreciate Brendan’s words. “You’re heartless, Brendan. We’ve been married for over two years, and I’ve caught you cheating numerous times. You’re good at turning the tables.”

Brendan’s expression darkened. “Cheating? Do you have any evidence?”

Naomi huffed. “Don’t worry! Once I have it, I’ll make sure you lose everything.”

Hearing this, Brendan carried Naomi. “You may be able to get to me, but you won’t have my money.”

He could fall for her lies as long as money wasn’t involved.

Naomi joked, “Are you this stingy with everyone?”

Brendan didn’t hesitate to pin Naomi to the bed. “Women would spend money just to sleep with me. I don’t even have to pay for anything.”

Naomi retorted, “So you’re saying I’m stingy since I’m not sleeping with you?” 

After Naomi spoke, Brendan kissed her passionately.
