After Naomi finished playing the recordings, her eyes became moist with tears.

She didn’t expect to encounter such disturbing occurrences in a society that upheld law and order, nor did she anticipate uncovering such twisted ideology in a seemingly ordinary town.

“The defense shall make your concluding statement,” the judge said.

“Your Honor, based on the testimonies we just heard, I trust that everyone now understands the defendant’s upbringing and the circumstances that led to him fleeing the Danson family. It’s evident that he was raised in a toxic family environment, which undoubtedly influenced his actions.

hope that you consider a fair and lenient sentence. This would give the defendant a chance at

redemption.”

After Naomi finished speaking, the judge turned to the prosecutor and asked, ”

“Charles Danson, do you have anything to say?”

Charles lifted his head and looked at Naomi before turning to the judge.

“I confess to my actions. I know I killed someone. I’m prepared to face the consequences, I the law decides. I’m guilty and deserve punishment.”

He felt honored to have a lawyer who showed such dedication and trust for the client. Naomi’s commitment and selflessness were qualities not every lawyer possessed.

Naomi lifted her head to face Michael. “Thank you to Mr. Symth and everyone for your help and guidance during this period.”

When Naomi finished speaking, another figure emerged from the crowd. She looked up and was surprised to see the man. She hadn’t expected him to be present at the trial today.
