Chapter 34
Brendan glared at Naomi stoically, as if hinting at her shamelessness.
“Are you going to make me some food?” Naomi asked, “Be careful. Don’t accidentally cut your hand. I
don’t want to bring you to the hospital.”
Brendan had never set a table in his whole life, let alone Cook something.
He could give her a child if he felt sorry for her.
Brendan glared at her coldly. But Naomi quickly brushed it off, “Alright, go ahead and cook. I’m going to take a bath. I didn’t have anything for lunch either. Please make me a big meal with more meat.”
Naomi went upstairs while yawning after finishing her request to Brendan.
In the kitchen, Brendan played a video on his phone as background noise and started looking for
ingredients in the fridge.
The last time they had visited the Goodwins, Christine had advised Naomi to take her daily meals on time. due to her bad gastric problems. Although Brendan didn’t say anything back then, he had kept it in mind
ever since.
It was already midnight. Brendan decided to cook some pasta since he couldn’t prepare anything too complicated.
He grilled some chicken and prepared the alfredo sauce. He thought about adding some chili flakes to spice up the flavor. But he remembered Naomi couldn’t handle spice well, so he returned the bottle to the
rack.
Naomi came downstairs after her bath in a light pink nightgown and a large ribbon headband.
She leaned against the door with her arms crossed and smirked as she watched Brendan cook.
Brendan added some chopped parsley as the finishing touch. When he turned around to take a plate, he was startled by Naomi quietly staring at him by the door.
“Couldn’t you have said something instead of standing there?”
Naomi smiled at him and slowly walked toward him with her arms folded. Her curly hair dangled in front of her chest as she walked. At this exact moment, her beauty resembled a fairy.
She walked to Brendan’s side and looked at the pasta. She nudged Brendan with her butt and said, “Can I ask you something?”
Brendan just looked at her and then continued to plate the pasta.
Brendan continued plating the food and ignored her.
“Why benefit some random people Instead of me? Will they have better techniques than me? Your first time should be with someone who has great skills, Naomi said..
As soon as she finished speaking, Brendan’s face turned as red as the chili flakes. “Naomi, do you still
“Of course I do. I’ve been thinking about it every single day,” Naomi answered.
