Boss,I'm Not Your Stand-in Gilrfriend novel Chapter 23

When I met Gavin the first time, I thought it was my bad luck to run into him wherever I go. The town was so small!

Gavin asked me, "What are you doing here? Didn't you go back to work?"

I said quickly as Gavin seemed to be showing signs of anger. "I am going back, but do I still owe Mr. Stone money? I don't want to bother you for too long, so I want to  make some extra money."

"How? Darcey, you don't want anything to do with me?"

Gavin's voice was a little loud. I could see that someone was already looking our way. So I said in a low voice, "Mr. Stone, I'm still at work. Can we talk after work later?"

"No!" Gavin pulled me outside. The lobby manager saw us and wanted to stop, but when he saw Gavin, he immediately went back.

I thought to myself, "This is probably Gavin's property again."

Gavin pulled me to the office, turned around and closed the door. He rushed up to me and questioned, "Are you that short of money? Or do you think you are too healthy, trying to make your son suffer more! "

I was a little confused by his words. I said, "Mr. Stone, you lose your temper for areason. I do my job well. Why do you yell at me since I did nothing?"

"Darcey, get it right! You are not alone now, you have to consider your son even if you want to make money! "

" It was because I consider his feelings so I came out to work! How else am I supposed to feed him! "

"I'll do it! I'll feed him!"

Gavin and I had a mindless argument. And he might have lost his mind to say something like that. When he said this, we were both stunned.

Gavin looked elsewhere and hesitated for a long time before he said. "I know your family is in trouble. I can lend you some money first. You don't need to pay the interest, just pay it back slowly."
