Becca hesitated.
What she had just said, was revealing what was inside her.
She did care.
They had been together for five years. They had planned to get married. How could she just let go so easily?
She always persuaded herself to shift the disappointment with him to the hatred towards Laura, telling herself that she was not content with such a result. But, as soon as she saw Albert and Laura stood together, she still felt heartrending.
She was so hurt.
"None of your business." At this time, like a hedgehog under attack, she defended herself.
The atmosphere in the carriage condensed into ice at once. Kelvin was stone-faced, and said nothing.
Back to Nova, Kelvin walked forward in silence. Becca had to follow him, for at present there was no place for her to go, and she still had to divorce him.
She had nothing to do but to follow behind him.
"Boss!" Peter saw Kelvin, behind whom there was a dirty girl. Kelvin did not answer him, entering the elevator with Becca.
Bill did not follow them, but bowed a little and watched them go upstairs.
"What's wrong with him?" Peter came over with a glass of wine, "They’re just married. Why do they look unhappy and angry?"
Bill shook his head, and dared not discuss his boss’ business. This young lady would ‘suffer’ a lot tonight.
Phill followed them, seeming that he knew everything, and patted Peter's shoulder.
"So do not marry a young girl. Look, our boss has too much to worry about."
Becca followed Kelvin upstairs. She did not understand. It was she who should be angry. Why does this man look less happy than her?
