Becca's heart clattered. She clicked in and saw the picture. Kelvin and Mia sat at the same table. He still looked serious, but Mia looked at the camera and smiled gently. They two looked like a real couple.
She scanned all the way down and saw the news that the Lewis family announced that they would be married after the New Year.
That was half year left. No wonder Kelvin said only he could mention divorce. He was ready to divorce before then.
And marry Mia.
Crouching her legs, she put her head on her knees, feeling like she was in the ice cellar.
She didn't understand why she's lost. Was it because of Albert or Kelvin?
But it should not be like this. She and Kelvin only knew each other for such a short time. How could she possibly have feelings for him?
Becca didn't go out all day, eating without her taste, drawing a summary in the study, and going to the door every second. But no matter how she looked, there never came a shadow of Kelvin.
Becca felt that she was naive. Now that he was with Mia for family reunion, how could he come back?
Monday came quietly.
Becca changed into a simple and convenient professional suit with white shirt with casual trousers. Her hair was tied into a ponytail. With a light but decent makeup, her overall temperament has improved a lot.
Kelly drove her to the Heyday Building. She got out of the car and looked up at the towering building with a sense of tension.
Heyday Group, not only was the international well-known clothing design company, but also had numerous models and entertainers.
She didn't dare to expect to be one of them before, but now, she must be one of them.
"Go for it!" Kelly cheered her up.
Becca nodded and walked into the building. The ten-centimeter heels made her look as if she was two-meter in height. She held her head high and entered her own battlefield.
"What are you doing! Everyone is waiting for you!"
Just when she was walking into the door, a ghastly roar made her frightened with a stagger. The lobby was full of people.
And those 100 or so people all looked at her, making her not know what to do.
"Me?" Becca pointed at herself.
"Are you Becca Garcia?" A woman in her thirties asked her with a thick voice and a big figure. A northerner at first sight.
She nodded.
"Take your card and go to your seat. You have no sense of time." The woman threw a work card to her. Becca caught it and saw in the crowd Janet was beckoning at her.
"Sorry." She walked to the seat next to Janet.
"Why did you get here so late?" Janet whispered. "We all arrived half an hour early. You are so brave to arrive at this time."
How could Becca know these? She thought there would be a gentle and beautiful girl as a guide as in the TV series.
"That's the head of personnel in charge of our group of new recruits, Jennis Bruce. There are 120 new recruits this year." Janet had figured it out already.
Becca didn’t know what to say.
Jennis was far from her imagination.
"I know that you are all top students, and there are lots of noble guys here. But here, your previous achievements and your family are nothing. The workplace is brutal. A three-month probationary period is a test for everyone... Only ten of you will be able to stay in the end. So please try your best. "
As soon as her words were out, everyone began to whisper.
"Ten!" Becca also startled. "Less than 10%. This is too hard."
Janet shook her head and sighed, "So I told you. With your ability, you can be a treasure to any small company. Here, there's even no chance to the first round. And you get me involved!"
"Bullshit. I will be the one who fight to the end and get the crown.”
"Now, there will be team leaders taking you around the company. Please follow the order and do not disturb the normal work of others." As Jennis talking, twelve young ladies came out in line.
