Bride To Be Not Me (Janice and Simon) novel Chapter 249

Simon completely lost it. It was as if something inside him had snapped. His eyes locked on Janice as he lunged forward. He desperately tried to grab her, wanting to stop her from leaving.

The car that had taken Celine earlier had returned.

Janice didn't even spare him a glance. "Simon, from this moment on, we're from two different worlds. The woman you once looked down on is now standing above you. Are you happy?"

Simon could only watch helplessly as the car drove off. He took off running like a madman, chasing after it. "Janice! Janice, stop right there! Listen to me! I only said those things to push you forward! If I hadn't pushed you, how could you have achieved all this? You should be thanking me!" he roared.

His shameless voice echoed through the empty streets.

Inside the Bentley parked nearby, Harrison shook his head. "He's completely lost it."

How could a person be so shameless?

Simon was no different than a leech who lived off someone else's success while pretending it was his own. He fed off the efforts of others, claimed credit for their work, and then dismissed everything they had done like a self-righteous thief.

A man like that was doomed to mediocrity.

The Rolls-Royce Cullinan finally disappeared, leaving Simon panting on the roadside.

As he turned back, his gaze landed on Edward, who was sitting calmly in the backseat of the Bentley. The luxury car slowly rolled past him.

Simon slumped onto the pavement, utterly defeated. And yet, all he could think about was Janice's excellence. If he had realized it sooner, Refined Threads Co. would've been the most talked about company in the industry.

Orders would have flooded in, and his name would've been alongside the biggest names in the industry. Every person in the crochet industry would have to bow to him.

He wouldn't be drowning in debt. He wouldn't be drifting from place to place. He wouldn't be running a failing company while trapped under Louis's thumb, a prisoner in his own life.

All of the glory should have been his!

Instead, Janice had handed it all to Edward!

It wasn't supposed to be like this… Which meant that Janice owed him! She didn't just owe his family a life, she owed him a lifetime of wealth and power! And he was going to take it back!
