Broken Memories, Intertwined Hearts novel Chapter 304

Silvia didn't seem to be particularly interested. She just casually glanced over the room and immediately noticed a photo of Ethan and Ines that they had taken in Mar County not long ago. In the photo, they were hugging each other tightly, with happy smiles on their faces.

"Where was this photo taken? It's really nice." Silvia walked up and picked up the photo.

Ines wasn't a fan of her casual attitude, but she still explained, "We took this photo in a place called Mar County, which is near A City."

The photo was taken by Phoebe. It turned out really well, so she had a few printed and brought one over.

"Ethan has always been into monochrome interior design, but somehow it doesn't seem right now. Did you re-do it according to your taste?" Silvia asked.

Ines nodded in agreement.

Not long ago, Erica had their baby room and their own room redecorated according to her taste. She probably thought the previous style was too cold and not cozy enough.

Silvia’s gaze moved to the bed, a stab of pain in her eyes. The thought of Ethan being intimate with another woman on this bed made her want to kill.

But after years of tempering, she had learned to control her emotions.

She sat down on the bed, looked up at Ines, and casually asked, "What do you think are my chances of getting Ethan?"

Ines's grip on her book tightened at the abrupt question, she looked up at Silvia in surprise.

Silvia's face showed no extra emotions. She didn't seem to think there was anything wrong with declaring her intention to steal someone's husband in their bedroom.

After her initial shock, Ines raised an eyebrow. So, Silvia wasn't hiding her intentions anymore and was openly challenging her.

About time. Why bothered pretending for so long?

In fact, Ines preferred this open challenge rather than hiding in the dark.

Silvia seemed to read her thoughts, laughed and explained. But her smile looked eerie no matter how she looked at it and made Ines uncomfortable.

"You've already probed Ashley, right? Since you know, there's no point hiding it. You guessed right. I did come back for Ethan." Silvia said.

Ines's chest heaved slightly with anger, but she knew that was exactly what Silvia wanted. She wouldn't let her succeed so easily. She looked at Silvia coldly, "You're not a kid anymore. Watch your words and don't just say things for the thrill of it."

Silvia shrugged, "I'm just speaking my mind. Why misconstrue my good intentions? I'm only warning you from a psychologist's perspective of what you might face."

"If you're done, please leave. Don't disturb my rest and don't say these meaningless things in our bedroom. I have nothing to say to you." Ines's face darkened. She couldn't stand Silvia's words and asked her to leave.

"Don't be like that. You're Ethan's wife now, and I'm his suitor. We surely have things to talk about. How about discussing Ethan's past, his likes and dislikes?" Silvia smirked, seemingly enjoying the process.

Sometimes, Ines really didn't understand Silvia's thought process. She looked at her for a moment and scoffed, "I'm not interested in discussing my husband with someone like you."

Silvia didn't seem to mind and continued, "Since you're so calm about my role, I assume you already know about his love story with Leila. My sister has never been good at pleasing people, but she's really good at her job. Ethan isn't a romantic guy. He doesn't know how to chase girls, doesn't give flowers, or create romantic moments. His pursuit of Leila was just cooking at our house often. My sister happens to be a bit clumsy. Over time, it's natural she developed feelings for him.

“Also, no matter when my sis gets sick, he's always there by her side. My sis, she's this tough cookie, never liking to show her weak side. I once heard him telling Leila that she doesn't have to be so tough, 'cause he’s right here with her. My sister's eyes were all teary then.

“They loved smooching on the couch, and I've walked in on them kissing countless times when I got home from school. He'd also sneak into my sister's room late at night, then sneak out in the morning. Or he would pretend to go buy breakfast, and then come back to eat with us before taking her to work. He liked to squeeze my sister's face, like it was the most fun thing in the world. He'd often talk to her with a stern face, but he just couldn't hide the caring tone in his voice." Silvia shared many sweet moments between Ethan and Leila.
