Broken Memories, Intertwined Hearts novel Chapter 438

Ines gave a hint of a smile and gazed out the window. The familiar streets brought a comforting sense of restored memory.

As Phoebe had planned, she took Ines directly to a boutique and picked out two dresses, steering Ines straight towards the fitting room.

“Wow, Phoebe, you are really at high efficiency. I actually can try in a few more shops. You know.”

“Relax, we’ve been friends for years. I know your tastes. These dresses may seem simple, but they’ll look fantastic on you.”

Ines chuckled, always amused by Phoebe’s character. Phoebe always did things quickly and efficiently, and time hadn’t changed that one bit.

Ines tried on a pink mini dress first. Just as Phoebe had predicted, the dress looked simple but incredibly flattering on her. It suited her complexion and felt comfortable. “Oh my God, Izzy, you don’t look like a mother of two at all. You look like a woman in her early twenties!” Phoebe examined Ines from head to toe. Then her gaze was lingering on Ines’ bust. She glanced at her own, sighing with a touch of envy. Ines had always been more well-endowed.

Ines noticed Phoebe’s lingering gaze and quickly covered her chest, “What are you staring at?”

“Hmm, Izzy, I bet you’re not just a C cup anymore. Giving birth to babies really does wonders for your bust size.”

They were alone so Ines spoke freely, albeit in a lower voice, “Then you should get serious with Noel. Men do play a significant role in these matters.”

“Wow, Izzy, who taught you to talk like this?”

“I’m just telling it like it is. Take my advice or leave it.”

Phoebe laughed heartily and pushed Ines back into the fitting room to try on the other dress. However, they both preferred the pink one.

After shopping, Phoebe took Ines to a spa for a full-body massage. After being bedridden for so long, Ines found the massage, though a bit painful, very soothing. She chatted with Phoebe while occasionally wincing.

“Phoebe, you really thought things through. This is so relaxing.”

“As long as you’re comfortable, my efforts weren’t in vain.”
