Broken Memories, Intertwined Hearts novel Chapter 460

Lucas relayed Ethan’s plans to Ines, who seemed to relax a bit after listening.

“That’s how Mr. Meyer has set it up, ma’am,” Lucas said. “He insists that I follow your orders. So whatever you want to do, just let me know.”

There was a hint of hatred in Ines’ eyes. “Very well, Lucas. First, take the documents about the Galeana Group’s complaint to the inspectors. If they won’t let us be easy, we won’t make it easy for them either.”

Lucas nodded in understanding. “I’ll do that right away. Also, the bodyguards Mr. Meyer arranged for have arrived. I’ll give you the leader’s number later. They’ll stay in the shadows for now. If you need them, just give him a call and they’ll appear.”

“That’s quick.”

“Mr. Meyer anticipated some turbulence during this period, so he had everything arranged ahead of time.”

After Lucas left, Ines massaged her temples to relieve some of her headache. Just then, Silvia called. “Ines, let’s meet up.”

Without hesitation, Ines agreed. “Sure, let’s meet at the café beneath the Meyer Group building in half an hour.”

Considering the bodyguards Ethan had arranged for her and the location near the Meyer Group, Ines wasn’t worried about Silvia causing any trouble.

After sitting in Ethan’s chair for a bit, Ines freshened up and prepared to meet Silvia. No matter what, she had to keep her spirits high, especially in front of Silvia.

As she was leaving, Erica rushed over, looking frantic. “Izzy, is it true that Ethan was taken away by the police?”

Ines felt tears welling up in her eyes. She nodded. Her voice was choked with emotion. “Yes.”

Erica hugged Ines, gently stroking her hair. “Don’t worry. I’m here.” Feeling the warmth from her mother-in-law, Ines felt her anxiety slowly fade away. She felt a surge of strength. “Don’t worry. I won’t lose my will to fight. Ethan has already arranged everything. I just have to follow his plans.”

“Where are you going now?”

“Silvia wants to meet me at the café downstairs. I’ll be right back.”

Erica frowned. Her voice was filled with disdain. “What does that ungrateful girl want now? Hasn’t she caused enough trouble already?”

“There’s no point in getting angry over someone like that. It’s not worth it to harm our own health. You need to help watch over the company during this time. I need to focus on this fight.” There was a fierce determination in Ines’ eyes.

Erica smiled, patting her on the shoulder. “Good girl. You haven’t disappointed me. Just do what you need to do. If you need our support, just let us know. Don’t worry about the twins. We’ll take good care of them.”

“Okay, I’m going to see Silvia now.”

By the time Ines arrived at the café, Silvia was already there, leisurely sipping her coffee.
