Burn the Marriage, Keep the Crown novel Chapter 106

Great job!

...

Serena returned to Rosewood Gardens and carefully placed the vase in a small room on the ground floor.

Aaron couldn't stand the smell of repair materials.

If she left it on the second floor, he would surely complain.

Serena gazed at the shattered vase on the table, her thoughts consumed by how she could leave Aaron without paying the price.

Just then, there was a noise from outside.

"Miss Sullivan," it was Olivia, "the bridal shop has delivered your wedding dress. You should come take a look."

Serena frowned, but Olivia's enthusiasm was infectious, and she was dragged into the living room.

The sight of the wedding dress left Serena stunned.

The voluminous skirt cascaded in layers like rolling clouds, each intricate detail showcasing the artisans' painstaking craftsmanship.

From the neckline down, a circle of dazzling diamonds sparkled like stars in the night sky, casting a kaleidoscope of colors.

It was exactly how she had imagined her wedding dress to be.

No!

This dress was even more beautiful than she had ever dreamed.

"Miss Sullivan, would you like to try it on?" Olivia asked, her eyes unable to leave the gown.

"Go on, try it. If it doesn't fit perfectly, we can have it altered," the staff encouraged.

Almost without thinking, Serena agreed.

To her surprise, the dress fit perfectly, as if it had been tailor-made just for her.

"This wedding dress looks stunning on Miss Sullivan," one of the staff remarked, admiring Serena's graceful figure, "Mr. Vance's meticulous oversight these past four years was worth it."

The smile faded from Serena's face.

"Help me take it off, please."

Sensing Serena's displeasure, the staff quickly helped her out of the gown.
