As soon as the door opened, Olivia's voice floated up from downstairs. "Why aren't you drinking? Are you turning down my cooking?"
A clear voice responded, "No, Olivia. We're on duty and can't leave. If Miss Sullivan goes missing, Mr. Vance would never let us off the hook."
Olivia sighed. "I just checked—Miss Sullivan is fast asleep. It's just a bowl of soup. What could happen? Come on, drink it. You two are sweating."
Left with no choice, the pair reluctantly accepted the soup from Olivia and began to drink.
Olivia's heart was pounding with anxiety.
When she spotted Serena coming down from the second floor, Olivia frantically signaled with her eyes.
Serena glanced at the guards, noticing they weren't paying her any attention. She quickly dashed from the kitchen to the back door.
Even though she was almost a blur from running, her heart was still thumping wildly.
Her heart continued to race as her hand reached the back door handle.
Meanwhile, at the front of the house, Olivia watched Serena's silhouette disappear and let out a secret sigh of relief.
"Good, isn't it?" she asked, watching the others finish their soup.
"Delicious, Olivia. Your cooking is fantastic."
Olivia forced a smile, her mind uneasy as her eyes kept darting toward the back door.
At the back door, Serena didn't head straight out of the gated community. Instead, she took a long detour to reach the main exit.
There was a security guard at the gate, so Serena pulled her mask higher to avoid recognition.
The next moment, her expression tightened.
Not far away, a Rolls-Royce was slowly approaching her.
She could recognize that car anywhere, even if it turned into dust.
It was Aaron's car!
Aaron had returned!
