Victoria and Carl Arnold had just walked out of the venue when they bumped into a group of young designers.
As soon as these designers saw Victoria, they immediately ran over and praised her with admiration, "Victoria, the starry sky dress you designed in the competition was so stunning! It's really beautiful!"
Victoria smiled sweetly, "Thank you."
One of the thin male designers scratched his head apologetically, "I'm sorry, I misunderstood you before..."
During the competition, they had said a lot of mean things about Victoria, claiming that her participation made the Newtopia team lose even more miserably and brought disgrace to their country's design industry.
But in the end, it was Victoria who restored the honor of the Newtopia design industry.
Upon hearing these designers apologize, Carl still coldly snorted without a good temper.
Arnold, who heard the cold snort, gave Carl a meaningful look. He could tell that Carl's protectiveness towards Victoria was not ordinary.
After the designers apologized to Victoria, they chatted about some design matters.
One of the designers asked, "Victoria, I noticed that the style of the starry sky dress you designed is somewhat similar to Ivy's. Do you also like Ivy?"
Upon hearing this, Victoria raised her eyebrows ever so slightly and jokingly replied, "Of course, I like her."
Arnold struggled to hold back his laughter, finding it amusing that Victoria shamelessly admitted to liking herself.
Another male designer took out his phone, his face filled with excitement. "Miss Montgomery, your design skills are so high. Can we exchange contact information? I would like to consult you on design matters in the future, if it's convenient for you."
Carl's protective radar immediately went on high alert.
Men understand men the best, and it was obvious that the designer just wanted to get her phone number.
Carl stepped forward, with a sinister smile, "Hey, buddy, if you want to talk about design, then talk about design. Why do you need to exchange contact information? Since you want to exchange, why don't you exchange with me?"
The male designer's cheeks turned slightly red, and he shyly put away his phone.
While they were chatting, Mason walked over with an assistant behind him, carrying some documents.
After the designers apologized to Victoria, they left first.
Mason walked up to Victoria, smiling and genuinely happy for her, "I haven't congratulated you yet. You managed to win against Leonardo with a design sketch that got wet."
Victoria's red lips curved slightly, "Thank you."
Mason's eyes were filled with a gentle smile, as if basking in the spring breeze, "Although we were classmates before, we didn't keep in touch much afterwards. I never expected that you would also study fashion design and be so talented."
Victoria replied, "Your design sketches are also very good, and you have your own ideas."
Mason smiled and shook his head, admitting his shortcomings, "I'm far behind you in comparison. Although I'm a few years older than you, I can clearly see that my skills are not as good as yours."
Arnold, curious, looked at Mason and interjected, "Didn't you say you were classmates? How come you're a few years older than Victoria?"
Mason chuckled and explained, "She skipped a grade when she was in high school, so she's younger than her classmates."
"Skipped a grade?" Arnold, who was of mixed race, wasn't familiar with this term. He squinted his blue eyes and took a few seconds to understand what it meant.
Suddenly, he looked at Victoria with surprise and joy, "Darling, so you were extraordinary even when you were a child! Why didn't you tell me about this?"
Victoria didn't think much of it, "What's there to talk about?"
Arnold, "......"
‘You've mentioned your childhood sweetheart to me twice, but you haven't mentioned this important matter of skipping a grade even once!’
Arnold looked at Carl beside him and asked, "Did she mention this to you?"
Carl absentmindedly replied, "No."
Arnold finally felt a bit relieved in his heart and belatedly realized that Carl's response to his question was quite absentminded, with his eyes almost glued to Mason.
