Came Back as an Heiress After My Ex-Fiancé Made Me Blind novel Chapter 251

The doctor came out of the emergency room and wiped the cold sweat from his forehead.

Victoria and Carl immediately surrounded him.

"Doctor, how is the situation now?" Victoria asked anxiously.

Mr. and Mrs. Carter also came over, supporting the Grandpa Moore as they walked.

The doctor looked at everyone and spoke carefully, "The wound on the patient's back has been treated and bandaged. Currently, there's nothing major. The more challenging issue is the head injury at the back. After proper treatment, vital signs have stabilized. Continued observation and treatment are needed. However, the patient is still unconscious and will be transferred to the VIP ward for better care."

Victoria frowned, "Doctor, when is he likely to wake up?"

The doctor couldn't jump to conclusions, "This needs to be observed first to see the specific situation. If nothing unexpected happens, the patient will wake up soon."

Victoria was still worried, but she nodded, "Okay, thank you."

"You're welcome, it's what we should do," the doctor reiterated, "Due to the wounds on the patient, caused by fragments and stabs, there are many of them. Be cautious not to let them get wet or infected."

"Okay, I'll remember that," Victoria said earnestly.

Carl had been listening quietly on the side and only relaxed a bit at this point.

The unconscious Jack was transferred to the VIP ward.

The doctor administered intravenous fluids, gave some instructions, and temporarily left the room.

Victoria gently held his hand, the one without the IV, but the man lay quietly with closed eyes, pale and still lost in deep sleep, offering no response.

The elderly gentleman approached the bed, seeing his grandson motionless and unconscious. It was impossible not to worry.

As an old man, what he feared the most was seeing his children and grandchildren suffer.

"Grandpa, my brother will surely wake up early tomorrow morning. Don't worry too much," Carl comforted, glancing at his parents, "Dad, Mom, don't worry too much either."

Mrs. Carter nodded and looked at Victoria in front of the bed. The girl kept her head down, eyes fixed on the unconscious Jack, silent and seemingly lost in thought.

Mrs. Carter couldn't bear it, and as a woman, it might be easier to comfort her.

She walked over, patted Victoria's shoulder, and said, "Victoria, don't worry too much. The best doctors and professors are here in the hospital. They will take good care of Jack. Don't be too anxious."

Victoria's eyelashes trembled, and she nodded lightly, "I know, thank you."

Mrs. Carter sighed softly and did not say anything more.

Mr. Carter came over, and held his wife's hand, before signaling her. This was a matter between the young couple, and further consolation might be in vain. Imagine, the husband injured and unconscious, how could the wife not be worried?

Seeing his parents holding hands, Carter was used to it. His parents were always affectionate, and they practically rubbed their affection in his face every day at home.

Victoria received a call from Florian, asking about Jack's situation, and she briefly told him.

Florian wanted to come and visit, but it was already late, and Victoria didn't let him.

Outside the window, the night was deepening.

Unnoticed, it was already past midnight.

Carl glanced at the time and couldn't help but suggest, "Grandpa, Dad, Mom, let me and Victoria stay in the ward. You guys can go home and rest for now."

Victoria also said, "Yes, Grandpa, you should go back first."
