Came Back as an Heiress After My Ex-Fiancé Made Me Blind novel Chapter 45

Victoria's heart skipped a beat, and her thick, curled eyelashes trembled.

As a child, she acted like a little demon, bossing Jack around every day.

Today, she asked Jack to help with a shoulder massage, tomorrow it was pounding her legs, and the day after, it was asking him to assist with homework.

Looking back on it now, it was embarrassing.

Victoria coughed lightly, feigning ignorance and silence.

She stubbornly refused to acknowledge that she used to boss him around when they were younger.

When Jack saw her pretending not to remember, he raised his eyebrows playfully and asked in a lazy tone, "Little Victoria really doesn't remember?"

He paused for a second, and his voice was low and seductive, "Alright then, let Big Brother help you remember."

Victoria's earlobes turned red.

That nickname 'Little Victoria'

He used to call her often in their childhood, but it became rare after they drifted apart.

Victoria raised her hand and touched her ear, she flushed with embarrassment, "Don't call me that,"

The man pinched her shoulders and said slowly, " "When you needed something, it was 'big brother' this and 'big brother' that. But once you didn't, you scolded me. Why so fickle, little Victoria?"

Victoria was flustered.

He was still using that nickname.

Victoria's cheeks reddened. She slapped his hand away, and pouted, "I'll do it myself, I don't need you!"

Jack glanced at his hand that had been knocked off. There was an obvious red mark on it, showing that she had used all her strength.

He wasn't angry at all, rather he was bemused. He found it intriguing.

He looked up and saw her awkward attempt to self-massage. Her movements were clumsy and inconvenient. She looks so cute.

The man laughed lightly, showing a bit of lazy pleasure, "I'll do it, Miss."

Victoria, prideful, huffed, "I already said I don't need you."

He raised his eyebrows, his eyes indulgent, "I insist on helping you, Miss. Give me a chance, hmm?"

Victoria looked at him and reluctantly agreed, "Alright then, I'll give you a chance."

The man let out a low laugh, the corners of his eyes filled with doting.

He raised his hand to continue pinching her shoulders, his skinny fingertips gently kneading her thin shoulder through a thin layer of fabric.

Victoria couldn't deny the pleasant sensation. The pressure was just right, alleviating fatigue.

"Do you often give shoulder massages? How are you so skilled?" she asked curiously.

Jack, hearing the question, almost laughed. He squinted dangerously, "Victoria, have you ever seen me give a shoulder massage to anyone else?"

Victoria thought about it, realizing she hadn't.

The man glanced at her slowly, and his thin lips were slightly parted, "I've only served you."

Victoria breathed lightly, her heartbeat suddenly chaotic.

Unsure how to respond, she fell into a momentary silence.

Jack didn't seem to need her answer either.

Seemingly indifferent to her reaction, Jack changed the topic with a nonchalant tone. "Congratulations on winning first place in the finals."

Victoria immediately walked down the steps, "Did you watch the live broadcast again?"

He affirmed with a sound, his gaze slightly chilly. "About Dempsey..."

Victoria felt uncomfortable when she heard the name, and waved her hand as if she did not want to talk about it, "He is..."

Before completing her sentence, her phone rang.

Someone called.

Caller ID: Dempsey Montgomery.

Regretting her earlier comment, she grimaced and promptly hung up.

In her experience, Dempsey's calls meant scolding – scolding for not favoring Amelia, scolding for not allowing Victoria to win, for her ingratitude, and other baseless accusations.

Anyway, in Dempsey's eyes, she was not his sister, just a tool that he could abuse at will if he was unhappy.

In the eyes of the Montgomery family, she was not different from a homeless stray dog.

Victoria didn't want to listen to his tirade and didn't want to give Dempsey another chance to scold her, so she simply hung up.

Just as she put her phone down, the phone rang again.

It was Dempsey
