Victoria glanced around the room. It was elegantly decorated, and through the large French windows, the beautiful scenery of the resort estate unfolded before her eyes.
In the distance, the dark-colored mountains shrouded in the shades of green smoke looked resembled an ink painting.
In the villa, there were winding waterways, lush trees, flowerbeds, and an artificial lake in the shape of a crescent moon.
Just standing in front of the window and gazing at the scenery, she felt relaxed and happy.
Victoria looked around. This room should be the best in the resort. It was impeccably perfect.
The only downside was that there was only one bed in the room.
Was she supposed to share it with Jack?
It was still early, so Carl handed the room card to Victoria, "Jack will join us later, Shall we go around the villa first?"
Victoria nodded, "Okay."
In the villa, not only the scenery was pleasant, but the air was also very clean.
As they walked under a pergola covered in purple wisteria, Carl's phone rang. Apologetically, he answered, "Victoria, I need to take this call."
No problem, go ahead," Victoria replied.
She was not a child, and would not get lost alone.
Carl ran to the side to answer the phone.
Victoria looked around. This wisteria trellis was really beautiful. There were also a few brightly colored birds around. They were probably raised in the villa.
She stared at the bird for a while, lost in thought, and suddenly someone tapped her shoulder from behind.
Victoria thought that it was Carl who had returned, but when she turned around, she saw that it was Dempsey.
Victoria's good mood was instantly shattered, and her expression became impatient.
Dempsey naturally noticed the change in Victoria's expression and felt a little uncomfortable.
Before she saw him, Victoria was still enjoying the scenery. After she turned around and saw him, her mood suddenly turned gloomy.
Did he annoy her that much?
What was even worse was that when Dempsey saw Victoria, her younger sister whom he hated so much in the past, he felt a little excited in her heart.
Finding an opportunity to talk to her was unexpected, and meeting her in this resort was even more surprising.
"Victoria, take me off your blacklist! Also, where have you been staying these days after leaving the Montgomery family?" Dempsey demanded.
"What does it have to do with you?" Victoria was expressionless and her voice was indifferent.
"I..." Dempsey choked for a moment, then blushed and shouted awkwardly, "I'm your brother. What's wrong with inquiring where you live? Isn't it natural for me to be curious"
Victoria looked at him with a caring-for-a-fool expression.
"Dempsey, how many times do you want me to say this? I've cut ties with the Montgomery family long ago. You're not my brother."
Dempsey immediately clenched her hands and glared at her, "Even if you cut off your ties with family, you are still from the Montgomery family, and you have the blood of the Montgomery family flowing through your veins!"
Hearing this undeniable fact, Victoria's pure eyes immediately became cold.
The fact that she had the blood of the Montgomery family in her body made her feel extremely disgusted!
Dempsey was quick to notice her change in demeanor and became increasingly uneasy. "So, don't talk to me about cutting ties with the Montgomery family. Be sensible, come back. I've already spoken to our parents and older brother; they won't oppose your return to the family," Dempsey urged.
Victoria's red lips twitched, and she raised a cold sneer: "Dempsey, you are too self-righteous."
"Victoria, what did you say!"
Victoria's expression did not change, every word was loud and clear.
"Dempsey, let me tell you, the Montgomery family and people like you are like dirty, foul stones in a cesspool. I feel disgusted just looking at them!"
"Go back? I'll never step into the Montgomery family again in my life!"
"You!" Dempsey's chest heaved violently, and his entire body was shaking with anger.
Dirty, smelly stones in the pit...
There was nothing more vulgar than this!
In the past, he would have slapped her for saying such things.
