When Linda got to the first floor, everyone of the house was already there.
Her luggage was placed aside by maids.
Qu Zhirong didn't sit at the dining table. She was leaning over on the couch, didn't notice her coming here like she was pondering something.
"Linda, come here, sit." David Huo was enthusiastic.
"Dad!" Linda came to the table.
"Sister." Jennifer Huo was there. She looked up and took a glance at her, then she just continued to eat her breakfast.
Richard Qu looked her and then the stairs, "Well, brother is still sleeping?"
Linda cleared her throat and sat down, "He will be there very soon."
She nodded and continued finishing her food.
The moment Linda took her spoon, she saw Qu Zhirong suddenly stood up and walked to the door.
"Zhirong, where are you going?" David Huo stood up too and hurried to her.
A moment later, he came back.
"Dad, where's mom going?" Jennifer asked him.
"Well, she has something to do. She's having an appointment. I have the driver to send her there. We'll meet at the airport." David Huo then sat down.
Linda frowned slightly. Seeing someone?
Who?
Was it... Mary Yun?
But it was inappropriate for her to enquire about it when David Huo didn't say much about it.
Soon, Michael Huo went down stairs.
After they all finished breakfast and chatted for a while, they just headed to the airport.
When they arrived at the airport, it was already 9:10 a.m.
The plane would take off at 10:00.
David Huo seemed to be a little bit anxious at the VIP lounge.
He had already made a phone call 15 minutes ago. Qu Zhirong had told him that she was on her way here and it wouldn't take long.
But 15 minutes had passed, why she hadn't show up yet?
Linda was sitting on the couch, absent-minded.
Apparently, she wasn't much interested in this trip.
She had a lot to think about.
For instance, she still didn't know how the Yun family reacted to the video being removed.
And as for Uncle Meng, he was to give her a very essential file in a few days.
She wants to stroke James Yun badly by means of this news.
But now she did have to go on a travel. She really didn't have the mood.
However, the trip was arranged by her father-in-law.
If she declined...
Her eyebrows twisted together. She looked out the window at those planes on the parking apron and was a little bit pissed off.
Michael Huo walked to her, sat down and said in a soft voice, "So, it seems that you're not looking forward to this trip?"
Linda didn't look at him but frowned more tightly instead.
On seeing this, the guy smiled faintly and his voice expressed a sense of disappointment, "If you don't wanna go, I stay here with you, uh?"
Linda was stuck, then she turned around and gazed at him unbelievably, "I beg your pardon?"
"I mean if you don't wanna have this trip. We can stay. By the way my mother will have a good mood if she has already accompanied by others."
He presented a smile and tried to explain in a soft voice.
As a matter of fact, he really looked forward to this Maldives trip.
They could be more closer to each other there after all.
But if she didn't wanna go, he wouldn't make her to leave the Austral City.
He knew her well that she always wanted to follow her heart.
Otherwise, the fact would be like what they were right now--he was affectionate about her but she was hiding from him.
Linda just stared at the guy in front of her and didn't know what to say.
However, at this moment, Michael Huo leaned forward with his lips close to her ear and whispered with a low voice, "But even though we don't go to Maldives, you're not allowed to leave my side!"
Linda frowned unconsciously and looked at this bossy guy.
There rang David Huo's phone and the conversation was interrupted.
"What? Where are they? Okay, okay, I'll, I'll be right there!" He hung up his phone and looked greatly devastated.
He was even quivering.
"Dad, what's going on?" Jennifer Huo hurried to him and helped him by the arm.
"Uncle, are you alright?" Richard Qu also came up to support him.
On looking at the scene, Michael Huo and Linda quickly exchanged a short glance and stood up to help him, "Dad..."
"Hurry up, hurry up, to the hospital. Your mother was in a car crash! The car... the car exploded. Hurry up!" David Huo's voice was shaking badly.
After hearing that, all of them were stuck.
A car crash?
The car exploded?
So...
Qu Zhirong...
They didn't dare to hesitate a second and drove directly to the First City Hospital in Austral City.
David Huo seemed to be completely defeated on his way to the hospital.
He was blaming himself for not escorting her this morning.
Jennifer Huo was sitting next to her father in the car. She clutched his arm tightly with teary eyes and said in a shaking voice, "Dad, don't be like this... Mom, mom will be fine, don't be like this..."
"Don't panic, uncle. Aunt is gonna be fine!" Richard Qu consoled them sitting on the seat next to the driver's. But he was worried as well.
Linda was shocked in another car.
"Okay, okay, I get it." Michael Huo hung up the phone with his eyebrows twisted.
"What happened exactly? Your mom... is she okay?" Linda was worried as well.
Although she didn't like her,
she never expected members from the Huo family to encounter any incidents.
"My mom went to meet Mary Yun. When they were driving back, a car accident happened, and... the car even exploded!" Michael Huo was in a heavy mood.
