Can't Let Go novel Chapter 111

When Michael Huo saw Linda Yun again, it was at the police station.

She was brought here for disturbing orders.

The police arrived at the scene soon after Steven Meng jumped out of his window.

But Linda Yun wouldn’t allow anyone to move his body.

She claimed it was a murder to them.

  But no one believed her.

She wouldn’t let his body be taken away from the spot. She needed to collect evidence to prove her assumption.

But they just didn’t allow her. There came a bunch of staff soon, loaded his body in the vehicle and left.

She screamed and cursed like a crazy woman. She even beat the police.

Yes, it was the first time she beat someone--the police.

So she was taken to the police station.

At this time, she sat on a stool in the corner of the police station, like a motionless puppet.

The man showed up there in a dark outfit. His charming face was gloomy and gave out a sense of quivering madness.

"Mr Huo," the director of the police station smiled and came up to him as he saw Michael Huo.

"I’m sorry for all these troubles." Joe Guo spoke in response.

"Well, that’s okay. But Mrs Huo’s in a very unstable mood..." The director took a glance at the poker face man.

Joe Guo just nodded and hurried to say, "That’s right. We get it. Well, Mr Fang, could we have a little conversation?"

Mr Fang looked at Michael Huo and then Joe Guo, he just smiled and pointed a door.

Joe Guo followed him into the room.

The man’s face was strikingly handsome. But that pair of eyes of his manifested a sense of hatred.

He gazed at her and walked to her side.

She was sitting on a chair with the back leaning against the wall. Her dark eyes were now lifeless and emotionless.

  "Linda..."

He called her name softly and sat beside her.

But she didn’t speak or move her eyes and was like a statue at this moment.

The man frowned and reached out to hold her shoulder, "I’m here."

Linda Yun looked up slowly, whose disconsolate eyes were directly in the man’s.

For an instant, the guy’s heart wrenched.

"Everything’s gonna be fine. I’m here, okay?" He lifted his hand and tapped on her head.

But her tears gushed out. With her clear pupils expanded, she sobbed, "Uncle Meng jumped from that building... he, he just jumped..."

Michael Huo slightly frowned, it was then was he aware of her having an uncle.

He had never heard of her mention that guy before.

  Was this Steven Meng important?

"It’s him. It must be James Yun. He killed Uncle Meng!" She protested with reddened eyes, "He killed my uncle!"

Michael Huo lowered his eyes with a sense of gloomy expression appeared on his face, and then he consoled her, "James Yun killed your uncle? But he... he’s at the hospital now. He barely leaves the room!"

On hearing his words, Linda Yun was stuck.

"I know you are really upset, but I’m gonna find out the truth. Let’s go home first, okay?"

On saying this, he held her hand.

But Linda Yun got rid of him immediately.

Under this condition, the man was frowning more tightly.

At present, he was not sure how important was this Steven Meng to her.

"You’re not in a stable mood. Let’s go home and then have everything sorted out, is that okay?" Michael Huo tried to say in a calm and soft voice.

However, Linda Yun gazed at him with an extremely cold look, even, it was mixed with a sense of disgust.

Staring at her for a moment, he moved his lips with a low voice, "So you think I’m lying?"

A sense of helplessness flashed in Michael Huo’s long and narrow eyes. He continued, "I don’t mean that. I just mean, what’s the matter? It’s not that you can decide it by yourself. What’s more, murder is not a small crime. Besides, ten minutes ago, the police gave me the files, all of which could clearly prove that he did commit the suicide. There was not a single sign of damaging or a stranger’s footprint. There was... clues that you were there!"

Linda Yun didn’t speak. She just gazed at this familiar and distant guy.

For the next second, she suddenly smiled.

But the smile was unusually cold.

  "Okay, I get it."

  Then she stood up.

  And headed to the door.

"Where are you going?" Michael Huo asked.

"Where am I going? Does it have any business with you? President Huo?" A glint of sneer was shimmering in her eyes.

The man’s face turned completely cold and doubtful. He squinted his eyes at the woman turning around in front of him.

Swiftly, he dashed forward and grabbed her wrist.

"Let’s go home. Don’t act like a child."

Linda Yun looked at the hand and again at the man.

"What? Are you gonna lock me up like these cops? Or are you restraining my freedom?"

  "Linda Yun!"

She just got rid of his hand without any expression. Her voice was extremely cold--"Don’t call my name!"

"Enough! Don’t you know that you have already been accused!" Michael Huo’s voice turned calm. That stupid girl! Didn’t get what was happening right now!

Linda Yun didn’t utter a word, she just stared at the man and snorted, "I’m accused?"

"Your finger prints are all over the room. You had lunch and drank wine. It took no less than three minutes for him to commit suicide after you left. Do you think the police will suspect you or not?" Michael Huo frowned.

Actually, he didn’t really thought too much.

But Director Fang had made it clear in the phone.

The incident, and even the whole issue, might be extremely negative to her!

And once there was a lawsuit or if some relatives of his came to report this case, Linda Yun was the first suspect!

But for now, he didn’t care about who Steven Meng was.

Or if he committed suicide or not.

What he concerned was that Linda Yun mustn’t be dragged into this mess.

She slightly lifted her chin and sneered, "Well, thank you by the way. President Huo!"

After popping that, she stepped out directly.
