Can't Let Go novel Chapter 5

After Mary Yun had left, Tingchen was somewhat frustrated that he unbuttoned his collar.

Then he lit up a cigarette.

  The snow outside stopfell again.

  What was wrong?

He wanted her body and could make love with her forever last night.

But that acrid smell of perfume instantly killed his carnal desire...

  Perfume...

A scene last night was swirling in his mind again.

"Mary, you smell so sweet, you have this special scent..."

  "Sweet?"

  "Yeah, can't you smell it?"

She shook her head, and didn't know what to say.

"A kind of gladdening and refreshing milk scent, I like it."

The man frowned in great frustration, thinking he might be too exhausted today.

Crushing the cigarette in the ashtray, he picked up the phone to give an order.

"Get ready, I'm going to the hospital."

  "Yes, Mr. Huo."

Linda Yun washed all the dishes and her mother fell asleep after taking some pills.

"Linda Yun, why are you always wearing a mask?" Aunt Wang, who shared the same ward with her mother, asked curiously.

They had been living in this room for a week, why was this girl always covering her face?

Linda Yun winked, turned to Aunt Wang and said, "Ms. Wang, I'm prone to get infected by bacteria since my constitution has been poor since my choldhood . You see I'm now in the hospital, so the doctor advises me to wear a mask to avoid getting sick."

Aunt Wang nodded, "Oh, I see."

Linda Yun smiled and turned around to fold clothes.

Yun's family didn't want her in Austral City.

But she and her mother was already in Austral City a week earlier.

Patricia Bai was seriously ill, and coming to Austral City for treatment was her last hope.

So Linda Yun had to hide herself. She wore a mask except on having meals.

"Well... we don't have any tissue now, do we? And toothpaste... when did we run out of shampoo?"

After having clothes folded, she realized that they had used up articles for daily use.
