Isabella's words caused an uproar.
Guillermo's face turned red with anger as he pointed at Isabella and said, "Who are you? I don't even know you, and I assume you're not a big name in the fashion world. What evidence do you have that the fabric on Theodore's clothes comes from the Jasmine team?"
Madam Sanchez immediately echoed, "Exactly! Where did this wild girl come from? I remember we never invited someone like you, a nobody."
Theodore stepped forward, his tall figure protecting the fragile Isabella behind him. "She is my invited guest. Do you have a problem with that, stepmother?"
Madam Sanchez's face darkened. After all, it was Theodore's coming-of-age ceremony, and he was the main character. It was perfectly normal for him to invite a few friends for support.
"Theodore, you're young, be careful about the company you keep. I can't believe a young girl like her would recognize how beautiful an international limited-edition luxury fabric is. Don't be fooled into thinking unknown frauds are big names in the fashion world," Madam Sanchez said.
As soon as she spoke, her followers started whispering, "Could it be that this girl was invited by Young Master Theodore to help him out? Maybe all those words were part of their plan?"
Isabella watched the Sanchez family desperately digging their own graves and decided she would make them admit defeat convincingly. She took her business card from her bag and handed it to Guillermo. "I am Jasmine's top disciple. My name is Mila."
Guillermo staggered back in surprise, but being the stubborn man he was, he refused to admit he had failed to recognize the top-grade fabric on Theodore's clothes. He looked suspiciously at Isabella. "You say you're Jasmine's disciple, but how can I believe you? We have other disciples of Jasmine here. I'll call one over to see if you're a fake."
Guillermo scanned the room and finally his gaze landed on Nathan and Victoria in the corner. He approached Victoria and invited her, "Miss Victoria, it's well known that you are Jasmine's student. Can you recognize Miss Mila on stage? Is she really your senior?"
Nathan and Guillermo had been childhood friends and had close business ties, almost like two peas in a pod. Naturally, Victoria was eager to help Guillermo.
She walked out arrogantly and circled around Isabella. "Can you take off your sunglasses?"
Isabella hesitated. She didn't want to reveal her high-profile identity just yet, especially not before her divorce from Nathan. She feared that if the Hill family found out she was their "cash cow," they might not let her go easily.
At that moment, Theodore stepped in. "Miss Moore, in terms of seniority, Mila is your senior. What gives you the right to order her to take off her sunglasses?"
Although Theodore was young, he carried himself with the authority and presence of an adult man. Victoria's face flushed red.
Nathan quickly intervened to protect Victoria. He didn't take Theodore seriously at all. With a cold expression, he said to Theodore, "Theodore, is this how you treat your guests?"
Theodore sneered, not giving Nathan any face. "If I remember correctly, I don't recall sending an invitation to Mr. Hill. We aren't familiar, so why did Mr. Hill come uninvited? What are your intentions?"
Nathan was speechless.
Guillermo was furious. "I was the one who invited Nathan. Theodore, how can you be so rude to your guests?"
Theodore coldly glanced at Guillermo. "Big brother, this is my coming-of-age ceremony, not yours. Every guest here has been personally invited by me, and they all have my golden invitation card. Please make sure you and your people don't overshadow the main event."
Guillermo laughed loudly. "Theodore, without me backing you, do you really think you could have invited so many guests? How many big names would come to your little party?"
Theodore frowned. "What's so little about it?"
Guillermo pointed to the surrounding artwork. "Look at these old calligraphy and paintings, and the decorations. They're worthless. If it weren't for the guests I invited, your coming-of-age ceremony would be no different from a village feast."
Theodore couldn't help but laugh. "Ignorance is truly terrifying."
