Capturing the Millionaire’s Heart on Divorce Day novel Chapter 102

Chapter 0102

After Madison successfully completed the simulated crash dive, Ethan received the news.

Had it been merely a mandatory training requirement, he would not have thought much of it. But he watched the drone footage of the

entire event.

The young woman maintaining her composure as she stepped out of the jet.

The moment she removed her communication system, revealing the words ‘Mukino Airlines’ printed on the left side of her shirt.

She declared, “I graduated from the Premier Flight Academy.”

She affirmed, “I now serve Mukino Airlines.”

His girl was using her life to shine for him, striving for a future filled

with honor.

How could he feign ignorance?

He cleared his schedule for the next day and rushed home as quickly as he could.

His girl needed comfort, she needed an embrace.

“You won’t die. You’re so outstanding, what’s a simulated crash dive to you?”

Ethan held her in his arms on the couch, gently wiping the moisture from the corners of her eyes with a tissue.

He soothed her like a child, “No need to fear.”

Despite his reassurances, he was well aware of the terror of such an

exercise and how many pilots had perished attempting it.

She must have been pushed into tackling the exercise by someone deliberately goading her forward.

Madison had withstood the pressure, as well as the fear of death.

“Ethan.”

Her voice was suddenly hoarse.

He looked down at her with immense tenderness, “Hmm?”

“Kiss me, please.”

Ethan’s gaze intensified, and his arms tightened around her, “Are you

sure?”

She nodded like a kitten, and before she finished, Ethan swept her

onto the couch cushion next to him and leaned over her.

His kisses were not as domineering as his outward appearance. suggested. They were imbued with gentleness all the way to his core.

They embraced and kissed, lips mingling softly, their hearts drawing near and gradually warming.

Ethan pinned her hands above her head, fingers interlocking.

Before their entwined breaths could stifle them, he finally released her, whispering close to her ear, “Boyfriend taking revenge for you?”

Madison’s emotions stabilized somewhat, “Revenge for what?”

“That woman with the surname Left, she deliberately let you go first. If something happened to you, she would naturally replace you.”

Ethan slowly sat up, not saying more: “Need a rest? I’m right here. You can call on me anytime, okay?”

At that moment, Madison suddenly became clingy. Her eyes wet

with emotion, she said, “Ethan, I want to eat the food you cook.”

Without any hesitation, he replied, “What do you want to eat?”

Overwhelmed by fatigue, Madison simply leaned back on the couch, her eyelids growing heavy, “Anything’s fine.”

As long as it was prepared by him, it was good.

Time is a mysterious entity.

It can stretch across vast distances to test the authenticity of emotions, revealing their falsehoods.

But it can also demonstrate over short spans that maybe it isn’t that important.

Take her and Ethan, for instance.

Despite their brief acquaintance, her subconscious reliance on him easily outstripped that for Lucas.

Reflecting on the past few tumultuous months, it seemed every time she was at her lowest, he was there beside her.

In good and bad, he encouraged her.

As Madison drifted between sleep and wakefulness, she uncontrollably murmured his name.

The man about to call William for fresh ingredients stopped in his tracks, “Hmm?”

Covered in his suit jacket, revealing only the top half of her face, her eyes were nevertheless shut.

She whispered softly, “Thank you for being with me.”

That single word of thanks resonated crystal clear in Ethan’s heart.

He watched her face for a long time before moving away.

“Madison, it’s time to eat. Wake up.

She was roused gently from sleep.

Instinctively seeking warmth, Madison refused to move, snuggling against him.

Ethan, whose phone call had just connected, held Madison with one arm and spoke on the phone with the other.

Feeling the vibrations from his chest, Madison gradually came to her

senses.

Their eyes met, and she blinked.

Setting aside the phone, Ethan coaxed with a smile, “Wake up, dinner is ready.”

At the dining table.

A feast, fine wine, candlelight.

Madison stared for a moment at the spread before her, pointing to it, “Did you make all this?”

“Yes.”

Ethan picked up a bottle of red wine, “It’s been breathed; it’s time to taste.”

She had been tense all day, indeed she needed to relax.

Madison didn’t hesitate, savoring the meal prepared by Ethan and sipping on the wine.

It was then that Ethan noticed how different Madison was with a

little alcohol in her.

Sober, she was usually quiet, composed, even gentle and virtuous.

But under the influence of alcohol she seemed to shed her veneer, revealing the real Madison.

Still in her Mukino Airlines pilot uniform, leg folded, leaning back in her chair, she spoke in a drawling voice.

Almost a whole bottle of red wine had been consumed by her alone.

Seeing no sign she intended to stop, Ethan naturally did not intervene.

If his presence couldn’t allow his woman the freedom she desired, what point was there in being together?

Whatever Madison wanted to do, he would fulfill it to the best of his

ability.
