Chapter 0152
“Uncle Grant, are you unwell? I’ll come over and check on you now.”
“Okay.”
The Grant Family Estate.
When Shihua arrived, she was greeted by Charlotte. Always adept at social niceties, Shihua gave Charlotte due respect, despite feeling somewhat superior deep down
student.
after all, she was Ethan’s mother’s
“Shihua, come in, come in. It’s been years, I’ve missed you,” Charlotte welcomed her, dressed in a way that flaunted her affluent status,
neither modest nor excessively showy.
Handing the gifts she brought to a servant, Shihua engaged in small talk with Charlotte, “How have you and Uncle Grant been keeping?”
“We’re fine, have a seat.”
Upstairs.
Julius sauntered down, and out of the corner of her eye, Shihua mistook the silhouette for a family pet – perhaps a llama, given his light-colored garments that matched the animal’s wool.
A twitch played at the corner of Shihua’s mouth as she took in Julius’s attire. She had heard that this illegitimate child put forth a strong front but was quite the opposite internally. It seemed to her that he was not only weak on the outside but on the inside as well.
Julius, looking ragged from staying up late gaming and mingling with the streamers from his broadcasting company, sported increasingly apparent dark circles. Paired with his slight frame, he looked utterly wilted.

“Mom, this is…?”
Julius hadn’t met Shihua before.
Charlotte introduced her, “This is Shihua, a professional pilot, quite famous abroad. You should call her sister.’
Julius was instantly captivated by Shihua’s appearance, her air of
pride particularly intriguing to him. The more aloof a woman, the
more he wanted to conquer her.
Shihua, detecting the greed in Julius’s eyes, felt a touch of disdain.
Yet she extended her hand politely, “Nice to meet you.”
Julius eagerly took her hand, his thumb caressing the back of her hand more than was necessary. If not for serious matters at hand, Shihua might have responded with a slap.
For now, she maintained a tight-lipped smile and gently withdrew her hand.
“Is Uncle Grant upstairs? I would like to see him,” said Shihua.
Charlotte nodded, “He’s upstairs, go on.”
Shihua bypassed Julius without a glance and ascended the stairs.
In the upstairs bedroom.
Mason had just finished reprimanding Julius and was catching his breath when a knock came at the door. He mistook the visitor for the Xin family and snapped, “Get out!”
Shihua paused mid-knock, “Uncle?”
Inside, Mason was taken aback, “Shihua?”
“Uncle Grant, what has you so upset?” Shihua hurried in, full of concern and niceties.

Mason, seeing Shihua, softened as if she were his own daughter, his demeanor much kinder than towards Julius.
“When did you get back? Why didn’t you tell me in advance? I would have welcomed you properly,” Mason said warmly.
Shihua doted on Mason like a daughter, serving tea and making
pleasant conversation, each word seemingly tailored for him.
The more Mason watched her, the more he felt his own sons were a wasted effort.
“I didn’t want to bother mentioning it, Uncle, but…” Shihua’s cheeks flushed subtly, “I’m not planning to leave the country this time. I’ll stay and develop my career here. As you know, Ethan and I aren’t getting any younger. We can’t always be running around abroad.”
Mason read between the lines of her words.
He liked Shihua a great deal and would be more than happy to have her as his daughter-in-law.
“Do you know if Ethan is aware of your return?” Mason always referred to his son by his full name.
Shihua was used to this and felt at ease.
“He knows,” Shihua smiled wistfully, “But he’s tied up with his work, training pilots for the company. I didn’t want to disturb him.”
As a successful business magnate, Mason understood the subtext.
Training pilots?
When had Ethan’s work involved training pilots?
However, he had heard rumors about his son getting close to a female pilot, accompanied by persistent gossip.
Mason pondered for a moment before saying, “When you have time,

come over more often. I’ll have Ethan come home too. After all, you two are more familiar with each other. It’s better to ignore those external rumors.”
Shihua felt more stable upon hearing Mason’s words, her smile growing more pronounced.
“Of course, Uncle.”
Back at Mukino Airlines.
In the Flight Department.
Frank, having received Madison’s competition form mailed back from Hesu City, scrutinized a particular section for a long time.
He then picked up Shihua’s form.
Why…
Why were their ‘Marital Status’ sections identical? And the partner’s name the same?
The assistant from the Flight Department, standing behind Frank, leaned in to help inspect.
Both peered back and forth like seasoned players of a spot-the- difference game.
“If I’m not going blind, those are the same phone and ID numbers, right?”
The assistant nodded slowly, “It’s impossible for two people to have the same ID number.”
Frank’s expression grew serious.
Then, the assistant gasped in shock, “Has the Chairman been two- timing?!”

“Shut up!” Frank hissed, “Keep it down.”
