Capturing the Millionaire’s Heart on Divorce Day novel Chapter 198

Chapter 0198

“It seems other airlines are trying to poach me,” Madison mentioned offhandedly.

But the throwaway remark was a grenade in Ethan’s thoughts.

Emerging with a towel to dry his hair, he asked, “Which airline?”

“Increate.”

Increate a name any aviation professional knew by heart, and Ethan was no exception. The company was larger than Mukino Airways, and Ethan knew that as his own company expanded internationally, Increate would likely become a formidable competitor.

So…

“And then?” Ethan sat down beside her. “Did you accept their offer?”

Madison glanced at him, “Did the shower water hit your head? Of course not.”

President Grant’s pride was playfully wounded.

“How could I possibly agree?” Madison continued, “No matter what they offer, I won’t abandon you. Rest assured.”

Ethan couldn’t hide his smile as he wrapped an arm around her waist, his voice seductive, “Really?”

“Of course.” Madison tried to squirm away, ticklish.

The temperature in the room rose inexplicably as Ethan’s embrace did not loosen but instead tightened.

Finally, he asked, “Do you still want to avoid me?”

“…”

Before Madison could utter another word, her lips were sealed with

his.

She furrowed her brow, tense, as the man beside her already had her pinned beneath him.

Desire between young lovers is often just a spark away from ignition.

Ethan caught his breath, his hands bracing on either side of her, his voice hoarse, “Is it okay?”

Madison’s heartbeat thundered in her chest.

After a pause, with her eyes closed, she nodded.

In that moment, the light in Ethan’s eyes shone with victory.

The room’s temperature climbed higher, filled with layers of intimacy

and enchantment.

The entire Mukino Lakeside complex was quiet, save for the occasional stirring from their master bedroom.

Their lovemaking came to a rest after an hour and twenty minutes.

Madison curled up in the bed, only her forehead and eyes peeking out from under the covers, her breaths shallow, and she remained silent.

Ethan called out to her, “Madison?”

“Hmm?” Her voice still trembled.

Suppressing his desires, Ethan suggested, “Shall we take a shower?”

“I don’t really feel like moving.” Madison was extraordinarily weary.

She thought back to her physical training days; she had never felt so

exhausted.

It was a whole different type of fatigue.

And his strength, wasn’t it a bit surprising?

Recalling their recent activities, Madison’s heart fluttered wildly, her cheeks burning red.

“Shall I carry you there?”

Ethan had already pulled away the blanket she clutched and scooped her up, heading straight to the bathroom.

Madison’s fears were realized.

In her youth, she’d read her share of Mary Sue love novels with friends.

And those male protagonists in the bathroom…

Life really does imitate art!

By the time Madison was carried back out, she looked utterly spe

“Don’t be mad,” Ethan spent the night placating her, “I’m sorry, I go carried away. It won’t happen again, okay?”

Madison remained silent, eyes closed, it was hard to tell if she was

asleep.

Considering she had to work the next day, Ethan didn’t persist, but still clung closely.

“Ethan, aren’t you hot?” Madison finally lost her patience.

“I’m not hot. Are you?” Ethan sat up and, from his drawer of wonders, produced a fan.

The cool breeze eased Madison’s irritation by half.

She couldn’t help but chuckle, “Alright, let’s sleep. We have work

tomorrow.’

“Kiss me, and no more being angry.”

That request…

Madison opened her eyes to the man before her.

It was like she didn’t know him anymore.

How had he become so clingy after they got together?

Could that intimacy have such an effect?

Reluctantly, Madison kissed him goodnight.

That night, Madison was exhausted, with Ethan holding her tightly, never letting go.

Arriving at work the next morning, she couldn’t suppress a yawn.

“What were you up to last night?” Charlie glanced at her.

Today, Madison’s usual co-pilots were absent, replaced by others from a different group to assist with her upcoming flight missions her regular crew was abroad for ratings.

“Huh?” Madison felt a twinge of guilt, “Nothing, just a bit of insomnia.”

Brian commented, “Insomnia is no good for our line of work. It affects flying. Maybe you should take a day off?”

“We’re already short on staff, who would replace me?” Stretching, Madison waited for Frank’s meeting to begin.

The gathering was smaller than usual, but still consisted of several dozen pilots.

“Today’s meeting is about two things,” Frank started.

“Firstly, there’s been some route adjustments. I’ll discuss this with. you privately. Secondly, starting today, we begin the selection process for the main pilot of the Airbus A380”

These words instantly vanquished Madison’s drowsiness.

Charlie’s attention snapped to the front.

Not just them-other captains from the various squads were eager to

compete.

No pilot could say they didn’t dream of commanding the Airbus A380, the king of the skies.
