"This event will eliminate the three teams with the lowest scores. From the looks of it, these team leaders won't be among those eliminated."
"Well, that's not necessarily the case."
"How could they possibly be eliminated? If a team leader is eliminated, wouldn't that be a huge embarrassment for their airline?"
"Don't speak too soon, the situation on the field can change in the blink of an eye."
Among the pilots, some older veterans, steeped in experience, knew all too well about the deliberate ousting of competitors in such trials.
This wasn't underhanded; defeating opponents to ensure they posed no further threat was perfectly normal.
In the air.
Charlie's heart pounded, "Madison... slow down, be careful not to hit the virtual track."
"It's fine," Madison was surprisingly calm.
She had already imprinted the course in her mind, confident in her knowledge of how to fly it. Her expertise in these specialized areas had been honed at the first flight academy, not to mention the pointers her grandfather had once shared with her.
Perhaps it was her grandfather's blessing that was with her now.
Thus, she had even less reason to let their main competitor, Air China, take the lead.
"Zheng team, that plane nearby must be Madison's, she's flying fast too," Zheng Congyu's deputy noted.
Zheng Congyu didn't bother to look around, focusing entirely on piloting the plane to avoid touching the virtual track, perspiration dotting his forehead.
"We're near the end!" his deputy exclaimed excitedly.
In the supervisory channel, two pilots typed messages.
Pilot One: Is there a chance of a leak?
Pilot Four: I'd like to know too. How come there's no need for a co-pilot?
The ground staff showed the conversation to the head of the competition.
They were immediately curious about a possible leak.
But after the head official glanced at the experience of the pilots on the two planes, he said, "No leak. Both have military flight experience; it's normal for them to know the virtual routes."
Sigh.
They had wracked their brains to come up with tasks none of the pilots had experienced, yet they still couldn't avoid it.
What did this show?
A wealth of experience is incredibly valuable.
Those watching from the ground soon saw three or four planes emerge together from the clouds.
"Look, look!"
"Who's in those two lead planes?"
"Probably pilots from Air China and Mukino Airlines, right?"
Apart from these two, who else could compete?
Obviously, there was no one.
On the plane.
Charlie noticed another plane not far behind them and squinted, "Madison, we've got a plane on our tail."
"They're keeping up with us?" Madison managed to speak even while flying the intricate course.
Charlie had experienced cutthroat competition before, "I'm afraid they're not just trying to win."
A flicker of unpleasant thoughts crossed Madison's mind.
"It's Air China’s craft!" Charlie clenched her teeth.
The next second, she suddenly shouted, "Madison, dodge to the right!"
Madison's reflexes were lightning fast. Before Charlie finished her sentence, she had already steered the plane to the right.
Thankfully, the flight course was complete, and all that was left was a routine landing. However, this maneuver had veered them away from the landing strip.
"We're in trouble..." Charlie gritted her teeth in frustration, "They deliberately forced us off the landing path! Zheng Congyu has already flown away!"
First place was definitely out of reach now.
Madison's gaze was intense as she quickly redirected the plane towards the landing strip.
However...
One plane, two planes, three...
