Caught In His Embrace A Second Chance Romance novel Chapter 132

Chapter 132

Cedric was in such a hurry that he put his phone away and immediately headed out the door. He had to see Sienna.

But as soon as he stepped outside, Xenia blocked his way.

“Where do you think you’re going?” she asked.

“Mom.” Cedric was already feeling overwhelmed. “I’m an adult now, I don’t need to report every little thing to you, do I?”

Xenia sneered. “Not going to tell me? Then let me guess. You’re in a rush to see that Sienna, right?”

Cedric paused for a moment. It wasn’t surprising that his mother had figured it out, and he had no intention of hiding it. He simply admitted. “Yes.”

Xenia let out a sharp laugh and pointed at him. “You try stepping out that door. Go ahead, I dare you.”

“Mom?” Cedric frowned, unable to understand. “I’m not a kid anymore. You can’t restrict my freedom.”

“Freedom?” Xenia scoffed, her eyes narrowing. “You’re feeling pretty bold, huh? Talking to me about freedom?”

She sized him up, her tone cutting. “What right do you have to talk about freedom? I raised you, I provided your education, and everything you have now the job at Brawne Group, the life you live it’s all because of this family.”

Cedric’s face paled slightly. “Mom, what are you implying?”

He turned around

“Don’t

He had never expected his mother to threaten him with something like this, but here she was, bringing it up herself.

Sienna.” Cedric clenched his jaw, letting out a long sigh. “If you want to push me this far, then fine. I’ll leave right now.”

walked back toward his room. Xenia was stunned for a moment, then quickly followed, watching as he packed his things.

as simple as moving out,” she snapped, her voice filled with menace. “I’ll freeze your cards too,” she added.

“Mom?” Cedric began.

back down, Xenia smirked with a hint of satisfaction. “Now you’re scared? That’s more like it. For some woman…”

cut through the tension. Though he was angry, he didn’t want to say anything too harsh to his master.

But it didn’t mean he wasn’t furious. “Mom, Sienna is someone I care about. Please respect her. You can do whatever you want, but I’m standing by my choice.”

He believed that, even if he left the house, he wouldn’t starve. As he spoke, he finished packing his suitcase, closed it, and picked it up to leave.

“What’s going on?” Evan arrived just in time to see the scene and hurried to stop Cedric. “Where are you going? Can’t we talk about this?”

“Let him go. Don’t stop him.” Xenia shot Evan a glare and hissed, “Cedric’s lost his mind. He’s not thinking straight. Let him walk out and see how easy life is for him.”

“Dad,” Cedric pulled away from his father’s grasp, frowning as he sighed. “I’m leaving. Take care of yourselves.”

With that, he rushed downstairs with his suitcase in hand.

“Hey…” Evan began.

“Come back.” Xenia grabbed Evan’s arm, staring at Cedric’s retreating figure, feeling frustrated. “Let him go. He really thinks it’s going to be easy out there? He’s never faced hardship a day in his life. How’s he going to survive?”

Evan was surprised. “Well, if you say so.”

The next day, Josiah heard about Cedric being kicked out of the house. After all, his cousin Yosef was involved.

Thomas sighed. “They really kicked him out?”

“Yeah.” Yosef nodded. “Aunt Xenia’s serious about this. She’s told all the relatives and friends not to help him, or else they’ll be going against her.”

With that, no one would dare offer Cedric any support.

“Wow.” Thomas clicked his tongue. “She’s tough. Looks like your aunt has zero intention of accepting Sienna.”

As he spoke, his eyes subconsciously flicked toward Josiah.

“What are you staring at me for? Do you think I made things better for them?” Josiah shot a sharp look back at Thomas, pulled out a cigarette, lit it, and took a deep drag.

He had said from the start that Sienna and Cedric weren’t a good match. She was a divorcee with no real family support, while Cedric came from a prestigious family. His family could never approve.

Only someone like Miranda could think it would work, completely out of touch with reality.

Thomas pulled his gaze away and asked Yosef, “So where’s Cedric now? How’s he doing?”
