"Humph." Josiah scoffed coldly, his eyes filled with disdain. "You really think I care?"

"Why wouldn't you care?" Andy didn't understand. "Aren't you trying to strip me of everything I have? To take away what belongs to me?"

Andy stretched out his arms in agitation. "You could easily take it all without even trying."

Josiah frowned, reminding him, "By then, you'd be kicked out and left with nothing!"

"I don't care!" Andy's eyes sparkled with intensity. "As long as the Evans family has a future, I couldn't care less!"

"You're crazy!" Josiah bit his lip, doubting whether there's something off in this guy's head.

"Edgar!" Andy was getting anxious. "I know, with your skills, you'll never have to worry about food. You're still young, and with time, you'll surely build your own business empire..."

He continued, "But why waste so much time? You have such a powerful backing; you could save years of struggle and achieve your bigger ambitions, right?"

"Enough!" Josiah frowned, cutting him off.

"Am I wrong?" Andy stared, taken aback.

Josiah admitted it; everything Andy said was true. But he couldn't just brush it off. "You need to let it go! When I escaped from the Evans family back then, I never planned on going back!"

There was no way he could forgive a father who treated him worse than an animal. For those long years, in Andy's eyes, he hadn't been more than a dog.

"Edgar!" Andy called after him, but this time, he couldn't stop Josiah.

Josiah hurried out, bursting through the screen and out of the private room. Zach followed silently; even with the screen between them, he had listened to every word.

Whatever decision Josiah made, he would always support him, but it was clear that something was off today.

"Get the car for me," Josiah ordered, waving at Zach. "I'll go to the restroom."

"Ok," Zach replied, stepping out first.

After a turn, Josiah entered the restroom. He turned on the tap and splashed cold water on his face.

That crazy guy, Andy, was really getting to Josiah. Leaning over the sink, Josiah closed his eyes, taking deep breaths to calm down. Slowly, he started to regain his composure.

When he opened his eyes and turned to leave, he nearly collided with someone stepping out of the adjacent restroom. It was Sienna. They locked eyes, and she seemed just as surprised.

In just half an hour, they had run into each other twice. Under his gaze, Sienna acted casual, walking over to wash her hands, grabbing a paper towel and tossing it into the trashcan.

He stood there, still watching her. Sienna pretended not to notice him.

"Sienna," he said, stepping directly into her path.

Sienna looked up sharply, and he caught her gaze, his lips twisting into a bitter smile. "Are you that eager? We just broke up, and you're already seeing someone else?"

"Seeing someone else?" Sienna blinked, taken aback. Then it dawned on her. This was classic Josiah—he always jumped to conclusions whenever a guy was near her.

She couldn't help but chuckle. "You said it yourself—we broke up. So if I happen to see someone new the very next day, why would that matter to you?"

She sidestepped him and made to leave.

"Come on, Sienna." He called out from behind her, his gaze fixed on her retreating figure.

His voice thick with emotion. "I... I feel terrible."

At his words, she froze, her lashes fluttering. She bit her lip, knowing exactly the ache he was feeling. "At first, it hurts; I get it. But with time, it'll pass... trust me, I've been there. No one understands better than I do."

Without looking back, she walked away.

"Will it really get better with time?" Josiah murmured, watching her back. "But you didn't tell me how long it'll take."

Josiah thought, 'A month? A year? Or maybe four years? Does it take her four years to forget me?'
