With Joyce in his arms, Conner left the outpatient building with Sienna. To their surprise, they were stopped at the exit.
"Well, well, well," uttered Reyna, arms crossed, looking leisurely between Conner, Sienna, and Joyce. "Care to tell what's going on here?"
Sienna frowned, her heart sinking. "Why are you here?"
Conner hurriedly handed Joyce to Sienna. "Sienna, take Joyce and go. Reyna can be a bit much; I don't want her to frighten Joyce."
"Okay." Sienna nodded. "Joyce, say goodbye to Uncle Conner."
"Bye-bye, Uncle Conner!" voiced Joyce.
"Bye-bye, Joyce," replied Conner.
Without further ado, Sienna hurried away with Joyce in her embrace.
"Hey, get back here!" Reyna immediately went after Sienna. "Stop right there! You hear me, Sienna?"
"Reyna!" Conner raised his arm to stop Reyna. "Stop it. What are you doing here?"
In hindsight, he sneered, "You tailed me."
"Yeah, so what?" Reyna was not going to deny it. Ever since the BMW incident, she had been holding a grudge. Conner had refused to admit that he had bought Sienna a car.
"Had I not tailed you, you'd have kept lying and never owned up." Reyna pointed in the direction Sienna had gone. "How do you explain yourself now? Didn't you say nothing was going on between you two?"
"Look at yourself." Conner frowned and shook his head. "Why wouldn't I tell you the truth? Because I knew this would happen. Do you even see Sienna as your sister?"
"She's not!" Reyna retorted, her chin held high. "We don't share the same mother. How can she ever be my sister?"
"You..." Conner pursed his lips with anger. "You can't even tell right from wrong! This is exactly why I told you nothing!"
He grabbed Reyna's wrist and continued, "Quit making a scene here. We're going home."
"Fine by me! As if I'm scared of you," stated Reyna.

"Get inside," ordered Conner.
"Ah!" Reyna cried out in pain as Conner shoved her through the doorway.
She quickly grumbled, "Conner! You're hurting me! I'm your biological sister! How could you be so gentle and considerate to that bitch Sienna but so mean to me? Are you even human?"
"It's precisely because I'm human that I'm gentle and considerate to her," remarked Conner.
Reyna hollered, "Conner, you—"
"What's going on?" Tania came down the stairs. "I could hear you two arguing from upstairs. What is it this time?"
"Mom!" Reyna exclaimed while rushing over to Tania, clinging to Tania's arm and pointing at Conner. "I caught him red-handed! Remember how he denied seeing Sienna last time?"
Reyna narrowed her eyes and added, "He left particularly early today, so I kept an eye on him and secretly tailed him. Guess what? He met up with Sienna, and they went to the hospital together."
"Is that so?" Tania frowned, looking at Conner skeptically. "Conner, is that true?"
Knitting his brows, Conner rubbed his forehead and bobbed his head. "Yes."
"Hah!" Reyna guffawed triumphantly. "You hear that, Mom? I don't care—since he bought Sienna a car, you'll have to make him buy me one, too."
"Zip it," Tania snapped at Reyna. "Stop making a fuss."
"But Mom!" Reyna was astonished, her eyes welling up on the spot. "Why are you being hard on me?"
"You idiot." Tania was so pissed that she could not be bothered. "I'll tell you later."
She then turned to Conner and asked with narrowed eyes, "Conner, why did you go to the hospital? Are you ill?"
'Wasn't the surgery after the last car accident a big success?' she wondered.
