Caught In His Embrace A Second Chance Romance novel Chapter 407

Cedric took Sienna back to Sunshine Neighborhood.

"Mommy's back!" Joyce ran over with a hop and a skip, throwing herself into Sienna's arms and peering behind her.

Josiah did not lie to her. He mentioned that Sienna would be back today, and Sienna really came back.

"Hello, Mr. F- Mr. Brawne..." Joyce blinked her big eyes. When she saw the person behind Sienna clearly, she realized it was Cedric, not Josiah.

"Hello, Joyce." Cedric smiled and patted her little head. Then, he looked at Sienna.

Sienna, you stay with Joyce and take a good rest. I'll leave now," Cedric said.

"Okay." Sienna smiled as she walked him to the door. "Thank you for your help with my matters. Let me know when you're free, and I'll treat you and Conner to a meal."

They were busy for the whole night because of her, so she wanted to thank them.

Cedric was stunned for a moment, and his smile faltered slightly. "Sure."

"Well, drive safe," Sienna said.

"Okay." Cedric nodded, his throat tight with unspoken words. In the end, he said nothing and turned to leave.

Back at her apartment, Sienna ate, took a shower, and lay down, hoping to catch up on some sleep.

Joyce, clutching her Minnie Mouse doll, snuggled into her mother's arms. "Mommy, I'll stay with you."

"Good girl." Sienna smiled, holding her sweet-smelling daughter close, her heart melting at the sight.

"Mommy?" Joyce looked up, asking softly, "Do you like Mr. Brawne?"

Sienna was surprised. "Why would you ask that, Joyce?"

"Because you're always with Mr. Brawne now." Joyce pouted, her voice muffled. "Mommy, don't you like Mr. Flynn anymore?"

Joyce would always assume any mister to be Josiah.

"Mommy." Joyce burrowed deeper into her arms. "Mr. Flynn came to see me last night. He read me stories and put me to bed."

Sienna was surprised that Josiah had gone to Sunshine Neighborhood to take care of Joyce the previous night.

Suddenly she remembered that she seemed to have seen him last night as well.

It was at the hospital. Josiah had visited her.

It felt surreal as she was running a fever and felt agitated.

She seemed to have gone overboard with her words.

Now that she had sobered up, Sienna realized it wasn't a dream.

Not only that, but he also came to take care of Joyce.

It seemed that he knew that Sienna was taken to the police station.

Although they hadn't been in touch recently, Cedric's cousin, Yosef, was his close friend. It wouldn't be surprising that he would know what happened to her.

Although they agreed not to be involved with each other anymore, when something happened to her, he would come to help take care of Joyce, and Sienna was grateful for that.

Although Josiah was cold-hearted, he had a tender side to those he cared about.

"Joyce," Sienna looked at her daughter, carefully choosing her words. "I'm sorry, but Mr. Flynn and I can't be together anymore, but if you like him, you can still see him."

"Really?" Joyce's face lit up. "I can still see Mr. Flynn?"

"Yes." Sienna wouldn't stop Joyce from seeing Josiah. He was Joyce's father, after all. As Joyce grew older, she would find out one day.

Joyce had the right to know. If she wanted to see her father, she had the right to.

"You're the best." Joyce smiled and hugged Sienna, patting her shoulder. "Mommy, I'm sleepy. Let's go to sleep."

"Okay." Sienna nodded, thinking to herself that she would find a chance to ask Howard to pass on the message to Josiah.

Closing her eyes, Sienna recalled Josiah visiting her last night.
