He spent all of his life searching for her and finding her before anyone, yet she said it didn't matter and thought he had a mental problem.
“So no matter who I’m and what I did, it doesn’t matter to you anymore? The man asked with no gentleness in his voice.
Kate gritted her white teeth. “I don’t remember my past, nor do I remember who I was to you,
but now I have an identity, and I’m a person with a family, just like you said so,
But we humans can’t avoid our fate with this excuse; since you missed one month, that means I don't have any fate with you,
So stop grieving over this matter and let me go back to my husband.” Kate said.
The man’s eyes were full of anger and disappointment towards her. “So what I lived all of my life became an excuse for your fate. Don’t you think you’re too heartless?
The man said bitterly as if someone had poured poison into his mouth.
“Yeah, no matter what you did, it has nothing to do with me. I just want to leave, that’s all.”
Kate refused to hear his excuse. She didn’t dare to ask anything about her past from him because she was afraid that she might owe him something which could be a thorn in her life.
She had an ominous bad feeling when she saw the scar on his face. Something flashed before her eyes, but only for a while,
but it didn’t stop her mind from going in an unfamiliar yet scary direction.
Suddenly, the man’s expression turned sinister, and he gave her the ugliest smile she had ever seen in her life. A chill ran down Kate’s spine, and she was a little scared.
“Even David Xiver will never come to get you in this life?” he suddenly threw the bomb at Kate.
When Kate heard David’s name and sinister words, she raised her head and looked straight into his eyes.
“What do you mean? Kate asked in disbelief; she thought he was trying to mess with her.
“If he is not alive anymore, will you keep longing for him? The man asked her, but it was not a question; it was a statement.
Kate couldn’t care less about his mocking tone. Kate’s heart was in a mess when she thought he might have done something to her darling. That’s why he didn’t come to get her for so long.
“Seeing she couldn’t let out a word, he continued, “Grace Allen, now your identity of Mrs. Kate Xiver wiped off with his body, so now it’s time to get back your old identity,
you were Grace Allen, you are, and you will always be, so don’t blame me because it was his choice.”
His words cut her heart into pieces. Even though she had no faith in him, she felt uncomfortable in her heart. Fear rose in her heart.
“What did you do to him? What happened to my darling? Kate asked while tears were already falling from her eyes. She didn’t even realize she was crying.
The man expected such a reaction from her. He could tell she was barely holding herself, but he knew if he wanted her to stop holding onto her hope.
He had to break her repeatedly; only then would she forget that man and accept her new life.
Kate reacted. She walked to him, still holding Daniel, and grabbed the man’s shirt collar.
“What the hell did you do to him? I’ll kill you if you harm him.” Kate threatened him. She didn’t forget to show her sharp glare.
The man’s emotion finally dissipated. Soon all he was feeling was jealousy and rage. He clutched her hand as if he wanted to do something and make her forget that man completely.
But he waited years for her. A few more wouldn’t do any harm, but first, he needed to throw her in despair completely.
He dragged her toward another hall, which looked like a theater. He let her go and switched on the screen.
Kate was confused at first, but something was going on the screen.
Few cars appeared there, one after another, driving toward a tunnel. She had a bad feeling in her stomach.
